Worldcom Customer Service Wins Storagetek Business.

SYDNEY - 17th June 2000 -

WorldCom Australia has signed a major deal with StorageTek (Storage Technology Corp., NYSE:STK) to deliver a fully managed Frame Relay Plus solution to carry StorageTek's general network traffic throughout the Asia Pacific region.

The solution will be managed from Sydney, linking fifteen nodes across fifteen countries including Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and the United States. The deal aims to roll the service out by the end of August
this year.

Commenting on the deal, Johan Sulaiman, IT Director, StorageTek, Asia Pacific said: "StorageTek selected WorldCom on the basis of a competitive price combined with excellent facilities and a sharp focus on customer service.

"WorldCom's clear commitment to building and running its own networks in Sydney and Japan, two of StorageTek's most important regional hubs, played a major part in the decision.

“We were also impressed by the strength of WorldCom's local Sydney team, and their focus on customer care right the way through from sales to technical and support people," added Mr Sulaiman
