What you’ll be doing...

You will be dispatching telecom technicians to resolve outages or complete installations on the Hawaii Network Services network. The primary responsibility is workforce management and coordinate field dispatch activities for install and maintenance related work. This position is primarily responsible for verifying, monitoring and analyzing dispatch work activity, and deploying field resources when necessary, so that maintenance and provisioning activities are performed in a manner which will ensure customer commitments and internal SLA objectives are met.

  • Coordinate work force daily to address outages and projects.
  • Track status of all repairs and installs.
  • Update ticket reporting system and service order tracking systems as status changes.
  • Create and maintain performance reports in Excel.
  • Create and distribute daily dispatch report.
  • Provide direction and assistance for access issues and scheduling repair or install appointments when required.
  • Act as a focal point for work status to Supervisor and customer.
  • May be required to perform additional duties and tasks as required.

Physical Requirements of the job may include, but are not limited to: climbing stairs and ladders, working from elevated areas, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to approximately 65 pounds, pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting/bending, and crawling, squatting, or kneeling in small spaces.

In this worksite-based role, you'll work onsite at a defined location(s).

What we’re looking for...

You’re tech-savvy and well-versed in all things telecommunications. Working independently suits you well. You’re also thorough, vigilant, and on top of the details - someone people count on to solve problems and to make sure they don’t happen in the first place.

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate’s degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience, relevant military experience, equivalent electronics training, or equivalent work experience.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret-level clearance.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • A valid Driver’s license.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of OSP work.
  • Knowledge of CLEC and TELCO.
  • The ability to take a highly-organized approach in your work.
  • The ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
  • The ability to update and track multiple work activities in near-real-time.
