Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Effectively sell Verizon’s Professional Services (PS) offerings and solutions
  • Evaluate new/existing accounts to properly position PS offerings for repeatable packaged services.
  • Identifying, qualifying and driving PS solution sales to closure
  • Drive the identification of engagements and business in the PS Services and Products practice.
  • Provide high level and informed business consulting with an emphasis on demonstrating the value and role of PS offerings and solutions in small, medium and large businesses.
  • Gather client business requirements to translate into IT needs for solution development.
  • Provide solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in synchronization with changing business needs.
  • Actively participate and support account planning to propose PS offerings when relevant
  • Lead the definition, scope, approach, planning and estimating of solutions for PS offerings.
  • Lead efforts in the preparation of RFP responses and SOWs in areas that relate directly to PS services.
  • Build custom proposals combining various IT solutions, leveraging PS scoping resources to develop the most effective and efficient solution for the customer.
  • Position PS offerings and services  to solve the customer’s problems
  • Manage sales activities in a timely and efficient manner following the agreed business practices.
  • Maintain an effective network of business contacts within Verizon and their partner communities.
  • Maintain current with security methodologies, standards and technologies
  • Interact with customers and internal Verizon groups providing a holistic PS overview.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.  Or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years’ of experience in quota bearing sales (inside sales preferred) role in an IT solutions environment
  • Experience in a high volume sales, problem solving and solution development environment focusing on IT security product sets and solutions
  • Experience in a Professional Services environment highly desired.
  • Proven experience presenting to CxO & Executive level decision makers.
  • Knowledge of the following security practice areas is desired:
    • Threat & Vulnerability Management
    • Payment Card Industry (PCI)
    • Forensics
    • Identity & Access Management (IAM)
  • Experience preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, SOWs, proposals and solution designs.
  • Experience in security service delivery, IT governance and operations.  ITIL v3 certification a plus.
  • The following industry leading security certifications are helpful:
    • Payment Card Industry  (PCI) Standards and Compliance
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • GIAC
    • Cisco, BlueCoat and/or CheckPoint
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written to deliver customer presentations aimed at aligning technical solutions with business value.
  • Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups.
  • Travel:  0-10%.  This is an inside sales role conducted from the Cary, NC facility.
