Comprised of passionate and forward-thinking leaders, the New Business Incubation team includes ecosystem builders and industry experts in location technology, robotics, digital twins, fleet management, energy transformation, industrial IoT and other emergent technologies. With a belief that the autonomous future sits at the intersection of intelligent networking, devices and software, the team is working to shepherd customers through their digitization journeys to enable the connection, management and operation of physical and digital elements needed for the Industry 4.0 future. The combination of these technologies will transform Industry to deliver new levels of efficiency, intelligence and business outcomes in productivity, experiences and safety.

This Product Owner role is the key drive of a specific product in the Product team and primarily focuses on defining both a long-term vision and near-term execution plan to inform their product roadmaps for and communicate the value of NBI’s solutions and how they anticipate and ultimately solve customer challenges delivering a product vision alongside the engineering team.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the customer and their challenges, own and drive the product roadmap to align to existing and unmet needs.
  • Collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Design, Customer Success, Sales, Solution Architecture, Delivery and Legal to ensure NBI products meet and exceed stakeholder expectations.
  • Analyze product performance to measure overall success and engagement, track feature adoption, identify user behavior and then feed this knowledge back into product design and requirements.
  • Serve as the internal voice and champion of the customer, create business cases and growth models to drive product strategy.
  • Understand customer requirements, set priorities, ensure that requirements are translated into workable epics and stories.
  • You will represent the customer’s needs while addressing engineering team questions on epics and stories. You are the go-to person for engineering when they have questions on requirements, schedules and deliverables.
  • You are the expert on your backlog with a clear understanding of how every epic and story delivers against customer requirements.
  • You will partner with an engineering team to run daily stand up meetings and all scrum ceremonies.
  • Every day you seek to better understand how engineering delivers on product requirements. It’s key that you’ll be able to discuss software development workflows, CI/CD pipelines, code review processes, QA testing, and user acceptance.

Where you’ll be working:

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of Agile Product Owner experience
  • Experience of leading SDK and API development.
  • Experience in Agile product management and development practices
  • Experience working with front-end and back-end engineering teams and technologies delivering code for production applications.
  • Knowledge of networks and data pipelines, particularly knowledge of how mobile networks operate.
  • Knowledge of public and private cellular networks.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • The ability to write code at a basic level in at least one major programming language like Java, Javascript, C++, Python or SQL.
  • Experience with UAT, unit, regression, performance, UX and reliability test approaches.
  • Experience with UI/UX design principles.
  • Knowledge of developing and delivering SaaS platforms.
  • Knowledge of Mobile Edge Computing systems.
  • Robotics and IIOT experience.
  • Ability to research and evaluate leading-edge technologies to inform and influence product build.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for new products, improvements, and refinements that align with our business objectives and communicate their value.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the compensation range for this position is between $119,000 and $221,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
