What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a passionate champion to play an instrumental role in ensuring that Verizon has a full understanding of all internet-connected devices, at all times. This will require both the technical ability to manage an External Attack Surface Management (EASM) solution and the interpersonal skills to oversee effective inter/intra departmental collaborations. The selected candidate will act as the owning Engineer, discussing continued evolutions while operating the underlying platform.

  • Ongoing curation of discovered assets to ensure proper attribution to the correct Verizon property or customer.
  • Identification and remediation of “gaps” in external inventory awareness.
  • Ensure that operational issues/results are correctly tracked and reported
  • Oversight of EASM Platform, within Verizon’s policy framework. Put operational best processes and procedures in place to ensure that the solution is operating as intended and any business questions or issues are addressed timely.
  • Presentation to cross-functional stakeholders and Sr. leadership to ensure the awareness of and ongoing success of the EASM, Asset Discovery and Asset Visibility programs.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have:

  • Previous experience with an asset discovery solution is preferred. (i.e. Cycognito, RiskIQ, Expanse, Reposify)
  • Experience with SaaS based external scanning (Shodan, Bitsight, etc) solutions strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of security fundamentals and common vulnerabilities. Familiarity with common security frameworks (SOX, NIST, FISMA, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of Internet Registries a must (ARIN, RIPE, APNIC, LATNIC, AFNIC)
  • Strong Understanding of Networking technologies. i.e.DNS, Certificate Registrations, Domain registration
  • Exposure to the full stack of information technologies and associated security models will be helpful
  • Previous experience working with asset management, discovery or inventory is a plus
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented & organized approach, excellent communication, developed interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to translate client and program needs into requirements
  • Previous experience working with a non-IT business segment is preferred.
  • Experience with the telecommunications industry is preferred.
