What you’ll be doing...

Workday Configuration Engineer will join the HR Technology delivery team and will be partnering with the Employee Experience Product Team, engineering team, support teams and vendors to implement Workday technology solutions (e.g., HCM Core, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Leave of Absence, Security, Compliance) in a fast-paced, agile environment.

  • Configuring Workday application to meet the business needs in HR and other departments as needed (e.g., HCM Core, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, Leave of Absence, Security, Compliance).
  • Proposing Workday technology solutions to enhance employee experience to meet the business stakeholder needs, and to align with the technology target state architecture.
  • Working with business stakeholders and agile delivery team members to refine Features and user stories based on the proposed implementation approach.
  • Acting as an expert on Workday functionality, keeping current with latest Workday releases, and offering the most up to date Workday solutions.
  • Designing, configuring, testing, and deploying configurations within the Workday Application.
  • Translating the overall business vision into strategy and tactics for specific technology initiatives, aligned with consumer needs.
  • Participating in technology solution evaluations and proactively creates POCs to improve adoption of new Workday features and demos to HR leadership.
  • Participating in configuration reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others’ designs/code/ configurations (peer reviews).
  • Reporting on delivery goals, outcomes, synthesizing the status of delivery to senior stakeholders.
  • Contributing to the development of best practices within the HR technology group.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • HR domain knowledge (Compensation/ Total Rewards, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance, Leave of Absence, Payroll, Time tracking, and other areas).
  • Experience configuring Workday solutions (e.g., HCM Core, Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting,Leave of Absence, Security, Compliance).

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Experience working with HR technology on global initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver with hands-on, ‘roll up your sleeves’ positive can-do attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to deliver executive-level presentations that demonstrate working software for multiple lines of business across the organization.
  • Experience with software development on an Agile team (Scrum or Kanban).
  • Ability to work on highly cross-functional, geographically distributed project teams.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Workday Extend and Adaptive Insights.
