What you’ll be doing...

As the Product Manager - 5G Business Devices, you will be responsible for new device development, certification and lifecycle management. In this role, you will drive device OEMs for on-time, high quality device launches. You will also manage several internal stakeholder teams including Network, Device Technology, Revenue Assurance, and Supply Chain for device launches and lifecycle management. This role will focus on 5G mobile devices and 5G services that are offered to customers. Your work will help maintain Verizon’s leadership position by anticipating consumer needs and shaping our future offerings to meet them. Your vision and leadership will help us realize what’s next for Verizon.

Key responsibilities:

  • Defining and executing a streamlined process for on-boarding device OEMs for Verizon’s direct and indirect channels.
  • Driving detailed technical requirements and test strategy for new product feature needs.
  • Leading OEM and internal stakeholders on device features and services lockdown.
  • Owning detailed development, certification and launch schedule with OEMs and internal stakeholders.
  • Driving partner ecosystem (chipset, OS, software vendors) to ensure prioritization of features/capabilities for Verizon devices.
  • Creating cost and time efficient certification strategy that addresses Verizon network and business customer needs.
  • Interfacing with device OEMs and product/integrated marketing teams to create and market business specific value props/KSPs for new device launches.
  • Planning and executing software updates to address field feedback, new feature requests and return drivers.
  • Managing device OEMs to higher device quality and performance by benchmarking device’s network performance KPIs, call in rate and return rate.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Three or more years of wireless / telecommunications experience.
  • Experience in product/device development, device/network technologies or a related field.
  • Knowledge of 5G/LTE/Wi-Fi technologies is required.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree, ideally a Master's or MBA.
  • Familiarity of new technologies including 5G NSA and SA functionalities.
  • Experience in process execution, development, and deployment of products and new technologies.
  • Knowledge in identifying and delivering creative opportunities to achieve business organization goals.
  • Ability to collaborate and manage stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
