What you’ll be doing...

You’ll be leading multiple software engineering teams internally and externally to design and develop complex software architecture for Field Technician platform. This single, scalable system enables our customers to access one of the largest globally integrated networks. Your work will help us to stay at the forefront of technology and positively impact the customer experience.

Person in this role is responsible for leading a subset of the Architecture team (composed of Principal Engineers) and for delivering the LUCID program as well as managing SOE / SRE / ScrubIT and the upcoming OneOps platform.

Leaders in this space are equally responsible to lead the talent transformation and Technology / domain transformation in alignment to our North Star recommendations.

  • Program/Project delivery excellence: Own the program delivery working closely with the onshore manager and the teams (India and US). Hands-on technically, guiding the team on architecture, design and on-the-job challenges.
  • Driving platform strategy planning and execution: Drive efforts to strategize, plan, and implement the short-term and long-term goals of building a robust, repeat-at-scale, efficient model for the engineering platform that will encompass standard northstar architecture across domains/systems. It will also include SOE/SRE, DevSecOps, Security, Stability, Scalability, and Availability tools and processes in place. Enable automation and proactive monitoring to detect issues and communicate to business proactively.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Asset management/Operations management.
  • Experience with and knowledge of AI/ML, Big Data tech, NLP, Chatbots, and AR/VR.
  • Experience in Telecom Network Domain and Network OSS solutions.
  • Relevant certifications, industry recognitions, patents, and published papers.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Experience leading a team.
  • Strong people leader and a mentor, and the ability to maintain a very high level of engagement with team members.
  • The ability to respond to tight timelines.
  • Strong expertise in crisis management and skill in solving problems with creative solutions that enhance the employee experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with service-oriented architecture and messaging platforms.
  • Analytical and data-driven decision making skills (i.e., strong affinity to use data to generate insights and reports for improving platform performance and resilience).
  • Strong understanding of database technologies.
  • Strong knowledge on DevOps and Cloud infrastructures.
  • Strong knowledge of NS systems and application.
  • Understanding of SAFe processes, especially the role played by solution and system architects.
  • A desire to continually learn new technologies, especially managing proof of concepts that are utilized towards experimenting with various tools / scripts.
  • A desire for innovation and the ability to bring thought leadership in the Network Systems space and run hackathons and ideation sessions.
  • A self-starting and a self-motivated leader with the ability to lead and inspire a versatile group of architects and collaborate with Agile coaches and a team of DMTS and as well as ART teams to drive adoption of SOE / Technical enablers and various other tools.
