What you’ll be doing...

Visible is looking for a Principal Engineer who is interested in working on new technologies by building Infrastructure as code. Your role will involve acting as an Infrastructure Security Engineer of the Visible GCP Platform.

  • Managing the overall stability / availability of the visible infrastructure and security of applications running on the platform.
  • Developing the enhancements of the monitoring capabilities of the visible infrastructure using various tools and also incorporate AI/ML opportunities in keeping the infrastructure costs down.
  • Partnering with the development team members and work closely to provide guidance in the areas of infrastructure and Security.
  • Developing the Google cloud platform and various SaaS platforms like SalesForce/Vlocity and Matrixx OCS Systems.
  • Managing the delivery of a stable and available platform to delight our customers.
  • Developing availability, stability and security of the Visible Infrastructure and application platforms manage the build infrastructure as code using automation tools and best practices.
  • Managing and enhancing / improving and securing the GCP infrastructure and application components.
  • Managing Kubernetes implementation across various environment.
  • Managing IVM / AVM management for the application components.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Infrastructure lead with exposure to Security Tools in a Public Cloud environment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  • knowledge of enterprise level applications related to infrastructure and security.
  • Knowledge in GCP / Nessus / Fortify / ZAP / AI / ML / Splunk Tools.
  • Knowledge of salesforce / Apigee /Java / MQ Technical Skills: Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes Knowledge, Apache Web Server, Tomcat, CDN,DNS, IBM MQ, Apigee, Java, Splunk, Service Now, Infrastructure Architecture Exposure, Firewall Knowledge, JIRA / Confluence, Software secure delivery Life Cycle, RedHat Linux / Windows Server, Gitlab / Ansible, Nessus, Fortify / ZAP Tools, SIEM Knowledge, Security Architecture Exposure, Checkpoint Firewall Software Knowledge, Availability Architecture Exposure.

Compensation

If you are hired into a California work location, the compensation range for this position is between $114,000 and $211,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
