What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for Verizon Cloud Platform (VCP) Engineering solutions. Verizon Cloud Platform (VCP) is the directional virtualization infrastructure used to support mission-critical network functions like 4G/5G wireless applications and OpenShift (kubernetes). We are looking for a dynamic and collaborative individual who will aid in the evolution of VCP Engineering. Engineering of Openshift/Kubernetes (architecture, design and administration).

• Creating method of Procedures (MOPs) - detailing implementation of changes.
• Developing automation to support deployment and operations teams.
• Developing/Maintaining of internal tools.
• Documenting the engineered platform including design, features, etc.

Where you’ll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experienced in Kubernetes/ Redhat Openshift Engineering/Administration.
• Experienced in Ansible automation development /maintenance/ debugging.
• Experienced in Redhat Linux.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• A degree.
• Experience in with Redhat Openshift deployment.
• Experience in Kubernetes Service Mesh (ITSIO or equivalent).
• Experience in Unix Shell Scripting (BASH).
• Experience in GITLAB CI/CD pipelines - as developer.
• Experience in Development using modern file formats (JSON / YAML).
• Experience in Linux systems administration (prefer in Virtualized/Container environment).
• Experience in system performance analysis in a containerized environment.
• Experience in working with solutions at scale.
• Experience in good solutions (netapp, nfs, trident).
