What you’ll be doing...

With the prime focus on growth in must win and strategic accounts regionally and globally, this role will help to deliver exceptional client engagement to grow selected accounts working alongside account managers, acquisition teams and field marketers. The Account Based Marketing (ABM) Manager will work within the new Verizon Business Group (VBG) Global ABM practice and the regional APAC marketing team. This role reports to Head of Marketing, APAC.

  • Contributing to sales funnel, bookings and revenue growth for the selected ABM accounts in the program.
  • With key stakeholders, developing, aligning and be accountable for success metrics and KPIs that show revenue growth in the target accounts, across Japan, North & South Asia and Australia.
  • Measuring, analysing and reporting on the impact of the APAC 1:1 ABM plan on sales funnel, bookings and ultimately revenue.
  • Utilizing Sales Force system (SFDC) and other tools to build a performance dashboard.
  • Ensuring consistent and effective communication with all key stakeholders, well cadenced reporting and quality interactions with the extended ABM team: sales, field marketing, ABM 1: few marketing, sales ops, solution architects, global ABM and International Marketing.
  • Creating an engagement map and robust processes to ensure quality and timely stakeholder collaboration, contribution, understanding and alignment.
  • Aligning the target accounts selection criteria by joint agreement with sales management, ABM marketing. Assisting with target identification and inclusion in the 1:1 Program by trigger analysis.
  • Understanding and identifying the customer buyer group and the behaviours by personas across the buyer journey. Acquiring relevant contacts and define the contact and engagement strategy for each of the ABM target accounts, inclusive of targeted messaging and aligned to the customer objectives.
  • Developing account-based growth strategies for the final selected accounts and executing specific, prioritised activities, targeted to specific job titles in the target accounts.
  • Mapping the optimum mix of marketing tactics to engage the account at different departments and job levels, from influencers to decision makers across the sales cycle.
  • Leveraging and create content as required for the success of the account penetration and growth strategies.
  • Be aware of campaigns and programs run at scale by field marketing and leverage where you can for general nurture and engagement of your ABM targets.
  • Supporting and contributing to the regular sales Strategic Account Planning reviews for the selected accounts.
  • Developing, with your stakeholders, a Quarter on Quarter ABM Revenue Growth Plan. Use account insights as the foundation to build this plan, as part of the Strategic Account Plan.
  • Defining and managing budget allocation for 1:1 ABM programs in region and in the Global Program.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of Account Based Marketing Program execution experience with large enterprise companies.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience working and marketing with Japanese Customers and to large multinational companies.
  • Japanese speaking skills.
  • Ability to think like the customer, to understand their challenges and their language.
  • Strong team work and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in matrix reporting roles.
  • An ABM certification (industry recognized certifications such as Forrester).
  • Strong analytical skills, such as market research, marketing and sales reporting, forecasting.
  • Experience in using a variety of tools and technologies in execution of the ABM strategy.
  • Ability to manage ambiguity by questioning data and/or stakeholders for further nuanced information.
  • Ability to operate on less than perfect data, by having a sound logical framework.
