What you’ll be doing...

This position is responsible for the design, implementation and support automation solutions based on detailed understanding of user needs by researching and evaluating complex business systems.

  • Working with users to design, implement, analyze and modify systems for various applications.
  • Performing analysis, write program specifications and develop automation solutions.
  • Communicating server/ system issues, resolution plans, and recommend preventive action to leadership/ business team.
  • Taking ownership of data center management and automation tools such as HPSA, HPOO, BigFix and OBR.
  • Serving as the primary technical point of contact for automation solutions.
  • Responding to user requests for assistance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolves system issues.
  • Developing solutions and make decisions that impact projects and staff members.
  • Working as a team member on large, highly complex technical projects under minimal direction of senior staff and management.
  • Regularly leading small to medium size projects.
  • Performing analysis to resolve problems and monitors to proactively prevent outages.
  • Performing technical evaluation of third party software products and emerging technologies.

Where you'll be working...

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience Designing and supporting automation solutions.
  • Strong scripting skills using Unix Shell, python, PowerShell, Perl.
  • Knowledge of Unix and Windows operating systems including file systems, processes, services, and permissions.
  • Experience with data center automation tools such as HPSA, BigFix and HPOO.
  • MSSQL and Oracle SQL experience.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructures.
  • Software Packaging experience and Asset Management Integrations.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as a strong team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience supporting Cloud Integration: AWS, PCA, Google, and Oracle.
  • AWS Certification(s) or two or more years of relevant work experience in public clouds.
  • Experience in the IT Industry including Software Development, Project Coordination, Requirements Management, Stakeholder Communication, Database, Testing, Troubleshooting and IT Automation.
