What you’ll be doing...

You will be working with a highly functional team responsible for the Verizon’s enterprise-wide Supplier Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Assessment Program. You will participate in a collaborative team environment to implement, evolve and assure the effectiveness of the overall program.

  • Administering activities associated with Supplier EHS Assessment process to meet program objectives.
  • Communicating with impacted Suppliers, Sourcing, Supplier Risk Organization and client groups to facilitate the assessment process.
  • Working with client groups to identify, prioritize and process supplier assessments in support of business initiatives and projects.
  • Evaluating Supplier EHS performance history and submitted documentation through the variance process, providing client team and EHS Leadership recommendation on how to proceed.
  • Reviewing, processing and reporting out on contractor events and overall program performance.
  • Evaluating existing program performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Fostering awareness to ensure business groups understand program requirements, objectives and expectations.

Where you’ll be working…

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in federal and state occupational, health and safety regulations in the context of multi-employer worksites.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in EHS.
  • Associate or Certified Safety Professional.
  • Experience in MS office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.) and Google suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.).
  • Experience in EHS or quality management systems (ISO 45001, 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001).
  • Ability to embrace change and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and also as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Experience in interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships.
