EXECUTIVE CONSULTING PARTNER – Professional Services

The Executive Consulting Partner (ECP) will be aligned to a particular vertical and responsible for driving the PS revenue.   The ECP position is responsible for working with senior IT executives (CxO level) at premier Verizon customers as a trusted technical advisor/ partner.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive strategic revenue by working with customers on transformational business activities.
  • Position Professional Services as a key differentiator to assist in transformation efforts.
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses with client for services spending and initiatives.
  • Integrate customer’s business drivers focused on technical solution sets from Verizon solution pillars.
  • Review and analyze current technology infrastructure and its ability to support strategic corporate objectives.
  • Identify and propose specific strategies, initiatives and remedies necessary to align technology infrastructure with corporate objectives.
  • Support development of business drivers, business case and high level program implementation plan.
  • Translate customer business issues/opportunities into technical solution/business requirements.
  • Consult with client business units to gain understanding of business requirements and value to the organization.
  • Map conceptual designs, transition plans, and technology to address business unit requirements.
  • Build and communicate the value proposition of the end to end solution to client executive and drive transformational business activities.
  • Lead strategic architectural planning to achieve goals by prioritizing initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future solutions.

Qualifications

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • BS in Engineering or Computer Science related discipline or equivalent work experience.  MS/MBA level education desired
  • 7+ years’ experience in to selling and consulting on managed IT and/or Teleco services to enterprise accounts at the CxO level.
  • 5+ years’ experience in the following:
    • A quota bearing customer facing technical Pre Sale/Sales consulting role
    • Assessing and advising clients on their current and future needs.
    • Consulting on and selling large scale complex, multi-departmental solutions
    • Demonstrated and verifiable track record of successful revenue generating customer engagements.  
    • Architecture to include conceptualization, definition, development and implementation of solutions with accountability for end to end delivery
  • Strong knowledge of Manufacturing, Energy and/or Utilities vertical for which the enterprise architecture is being developed.
  • Expert knowledge of vertical business requirements, restrictions and guidelines to maintain the integrity of the client’s IT systems for which the enterprise architecture is being developed.
  • General knowledge in all of the following with an in-depth knowledge in  the development and implementation of at least (2) technologies:
    • Networking  and/or SDN – Software Defined Networking 
    • Cloud
    • Data Center
    • Security
    • Mobility/Machine to Machine (M2M)/ Internet of Things (IoT)
    • Big Data/Analytics
  • Leading industry certifications in one or more of the following technology areas is highly desired…
    • Networking/SDN/ Virtualized Networking:  HP, Cisco, VMware, Juniper
    • Cloud:  EMC, VMware, Rackspace, AWS, IBM, Oracle
    • DataCenter:  Cisco NetApp, EMC , VM Ware, CNET, Schnieder Electric…
    • Mobility/M2M/ IoT:  Cisco, Oracle, Axeda, Telefonica, Orange, VM Ware, AirWatch, Aruba
    • Big Data/Analytics:  HP, Coudera, EMC, Oracle, SAS
    • Security:  CISSP, CEH, Cisco, F5, BlueCoat, CheckPoint
  • Knowledge of business intelligence to include analytics, tools, techniques, trends and best practices. 
  • Knowledge of IT governance and operations.  Industry certifications in the following functions are highly desired:
    • Architecture:  TOGAF
    • Service Delivery/Governance:  ITILv2/3
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written to deliver customer presentations aimed at aligning technical solutions with business value.
  • Experience preparing customer-facing material such as RFP responses, proactive proposals and solution designs.
  • Ability to identify problems, analyze them and provide potential solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects across various organizations and global regions
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, conflict resolution and consensus-building skills with business and technical groups
