What you’ll be doing...

The candidate will be performing complex geospatial analysis on all aspects of Verizon's Outside Plant fiber network.The candidate will be working alone and with teams to dive deep into data tables to identify trends and develop solutions based on the performed analysis.

  • Creating interactive ArcMaps to help the teams understand and pinpoint where actions are required is critical.
  • The candidate will work with internal and external teams and vendors to relay analysis results and to help develop solutions.
  • Small ad-hoc reports will be required on demand as well as large, complex ad-hoc reports.
  • Training our regional engineers will also be required as new geospatial tools and new releases to existing tools are available.

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You enjoy managing complex, large-scale projects impacting a large variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. You have a keen eye for detail, but never lose sight of the big picture. Being results-driven and well-organized, you are adept at identifying potential project roadblocks and developing mitigation strategies. Negotiating with internal and external partners to ensure nothing gets in the way of success. You are not shy about bringing folks together to solve a problem. You thrive in a fast-paced, high demand environment, making effective decisions quickly, and juggling competing priorities with ease. You are a self-starter and proven motivator of others.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with budget tracking, cost estimation, and cost accounting of capital plans.
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree.
  • Knowledge of fiber plant design, and general construction.
  • To perform the analysis, candidate must have advanced skills in ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Experience in utilities coordination.
  • Knowledge of fiber installation and standards.
  • Experience in telecommunications / data networking or wireless industry.
  • Experience in CoFEE, 3GIS, Tableau.
  • Strong communication and team building skills.
