What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Creative Director (Copy) works with a Sr. CD (Art) partner to create, mould, and push creative ideas for the Verizon Creative Marketing Group.
Their attention to detail and writing craft is paramount, but they also need to partner directly with marketing stakeholders and think strategically to help solve creative briefs. Their primary responsibility is to be the key integrators of our omnichannel marketing communications. They are also tasked with creating innovative concepts that amplify our strategy to make an impact with the consumer.

  • Providing creative direction to integrate campaign work across brand channels, and coaching while partnering with staff to accomplish creative objectives.
  • Providing creative quality control over concepts and execution.
  • Helping to set a tone of cooperation within the creative group and across the organization; promotes a “be of service” solution-oriented mentality across the creative team.
  • Building collective team vision and defines goals and objectives.
  • Giving the team proper recognition and credit for their contributions.
  • Directing complex, large-scale project activities and effectively leads and manages work of the creative team.
  • Leading execution of Tier 1 creative work on select projects including development of sketches/prototypes and imagery selection or headlines and copy in our brand channels.
  • Providing brand guidance and direction to ensure consistent alignment with brand voice standards.
  • Motivating the team to deliver a consistently high-level of quality as evaluated by stakeholders.
  • Guiding the workload, development, and growth of direct reports.

Where you'll be working...

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience In-house or agency.
  • Experience in leading and managing medium to large teams.
  • A portfolio.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Ten or more years of work experience; with five years as a Creative Director.
  • Experience in using appropriate software: G-Suite, MS Word.
  • Ability to create world-class concepts to address business issues and construct great case studies.
  • Experience in industry-standard software and tools such as the Adobe Creative Cloud, MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, project management software, and online market research.
  • Experience in brand development, product launches as well as traditional and emerging multichannel marketing.
  • Experience in Leading and mentoring team in the ideation process leveraging research, analytics and brand insights.
  • Experience in directing and celebrating the team and individuals as brand advocates, but also encourages and develops new interpretations of the brand standards and out-of-the-box approaches to grow the verbal and visual identity of the brand to meet ever expanding company needs.
  • Ability to Lead with passion that energizes the team to over-deliver against expectations and results in high employee engagement and overall job satisfaction.
  • Ability to anticipates problems and sees how a problem and its solution will affect other projects, people or processes.
  • Good attention to detail so that work is completed on-time, on-budget and on-strategy.
  • Knowledge of creating new ideas through the organization on behalf of the team with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage differing viewpoints so the final product remains true to the objective.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances.

If you are hired into a New York work location, the compensation range for this position is between $169,000 and $314,000 based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience.  This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
