What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Consumer Markets (VCM) Analytics & Customer Engagement (ACE) team delivers value to Verizon through business intelligence reporting and analytics by driving insights to actions. ACE is leading the advancement of analytics maturity from understanding the past to predicting the future. This position is on theACE Data Business Intelligence & Visualization team which responsible for providing governed KPI’s to the appropriate channels utilizing a host of various tools.

  • Develop analytical views of data utilizing various BI tools including but not limited to:
  • Tableau (required)
  • Kibana (bonus)
  • PowerBI (bonus)
  • Qlik (bonus)
  • Proprietary web-based applications (bonus)
  • Connect various data locations in order to stage data before visualizations.
  • Strategize, oversee and document multiple projects with evolving timelines in various stages of completing.
  • Resource planning and defining scope on new initiatives and existing project in various stages of completion.
  • Lead collaboration with business leads and IT to execute all visual design stages from concept and requirements to final hand-off to business unit end-users.
  • Conduct and ensure user acceptance testing with IT for database and applications prior to production release to include Software testing, quality assurance, and solution certification & approval.
  • Establish and promote Verizon brand standards and best practices and across business units and IT.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing wireframes, production documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and/or models.
  • Review existing visualizations to assess existing opportunities for improvement within the business and to drive a best in class User Interface solution.
  • Work with large sets of data to build proper visualizations and setups for consumption by users that are diverse in their level of complex data comprehension.

You are a self-starter and a multi-tasker who can work independently under tight timelines. You want to make an impact by providing the data that will help improve the experience of our customers. You enjoy aligning various works streams to ensure the same vision and goal is achieved.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence systems.
  • Leadership and Strategic Planning experience.
  • Experience with investigating and solving complex technical problems and data discrepancies.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Experience with Business Intelligence systems: Worked in the identified systems to provide diagnostic self-serve information to clients and business units.
  • Extensive knowledge of VCM DW data domains and data.
  • Digital experience.
  • Program management experience.
  • Ability to develop solutions that align tactical solutions with strategic goals.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross functional teams of bands managers and directors to gain consensus and execute to deliver results. Ability to define the future state, as well as identifying the steps to get there.
  • Proven experience in process and requirements documentation.
  • Experience with Verizon proprietary applications.
  • Call Center and Digital experience.

Communication: Possess strong oral and written communication skills, including ability explain complex concepts simply. Can communicate effectively across Manager, Director and VP and to audiences of varying technical prowess. Ability to clearly and simply organize information that conveys a story using PowerPoint.
