What you’ll be doing...

You will be responsible for managing the business continuity plan, managing against client rules, and coordinating with the customer, MSI, and Verizon internal key parties.

  • Ensure a preparedness plan is in place to prevent service disruptions.
  • Coordinate the annual audit of the Cary NOC.
  • Be the POC for business continuity related plans and activities.
  • Work with engineering teams, MSI, and customer agencies to develop, implement, and maintain continuity plans.
  • Evaluate new technology alternatives.
  • Recommend backup solutions and processes.
  • Develop plans to address recurring issues with problem management.
  • Project manage technical and engineering projects as required to ensure continuity of service for multiple State agencies.
  • Facilitate and participate in Technology Reviews and make recommendations associated with the Verizon suite of products and services.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Associate's degree or two or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or engineering.
  • Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery management.
  • Experience with the Service Now toolset.
  • Experience in customer facing positions.
  • Knowledge and experience with ITIL, including practical application of ITIL processes.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Level certification or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to deliver executive level presentations.
  • Ability to identify problems, and to analyze and provide solutions.
  • Extensive knowledge of Telecom including Voice and Data Networks, WANs, LANs, and wireless.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
  • Excellent abilities in coordinating multiple projects across multiple organizations.
