What you’ll be doing...

This is a permanent position to support network product enablement in Singapore and product strategy plans in Singapore, Indonesia, and Philippines.

The role is to proactively monitor the P&L for all network products in the three countries, drive Sales enablement for SDWAN/NFVS Product in Singapore, and manage all access products and partnerships across the 3 countries. The Product Technologist will develop strategy for deploying new services and growing revenue incorporating all network products in Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia. Verizon currently has many network products including MPLS, Internet Dedicated, Ethernet, and Managed Services into Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia. MPLS, Internet Dedicated, and Managed Services product portfolios are strategic components of SDWAN/NFV. The Asia Pacific region has the largest growing enterprise market globally.

Philippines and Indonesia are considered strategic markets in emerging countries with revenue growing year over year in Philippines over 5 years straight. The number of inquiries are steadily growing and the plan is to expand Verizon’s MPLS product backbone, promote Ethernet services, identify wireless access partnership, introduce new services such as E-Line and ELAN, and establish new IP interconnections. This position is also important for building long term relationship with the in-country service providers to support company objectives. Verizon partners with these service providers to support many solutions across the region.


  • Drive delivered revenue growth, develop and implement country product strategy for Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia.
  • Lead SDWAN/NFV product development and go to market with Singapore Sales teams.
  • Manage P&L for all network products in Singapore, Philippines, and Indonesia.
  • Drive Ethernet product expansion and access support for all network products.
  • Identify new partnerships on Ethernet, wireless and IP opportunities.
  • Prepare business cases to support product development and partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with fellow Product Managers to support product solutions and grow revenue.

Day to day Activities:

  • Develop and update country product plans and Product Guidebook to include technology development, product P&L, product roadmap, partnership and local regulatory updates.
  • As SDWAN/VNS lead for Singapore, you will be required to keep up to date on the product launch and roadmap for new SDN and NFV partners and support the local SDN innovation lab.
  • Understand the latest technology and network designs to optimize network and reduce costs.
  • Work with planning, engineering, and finance teams on cost elements and technical feasibility.
  • Provide strategic input to global network, product, legal, and finance global teams as needed.
  • Support product planning objectives during the delivery of new products and solutions by being the co-ordination point of contact within APAC Product and Partner Strategy group.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams and solution architects to support customer solutions leveraging Verizon network and security products with emphasis on SDWAN/NFV.
  • Support Verizon Agile product processes and encourage ideation amongst local peers and leaders to develop winning products and solutions.
  • Attend various technology speaking events and forums and complete necessary training.
  • Track and report weekly status on Sales opportunities, product launches, and customer wins.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics, telecommunications or computer science.
  • Five or more years of experience in Telecommunications, System integration Solutions Provider or IT vendor; familiar with both Network technologies such as MPLS, Ethernet, SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, and/or Cloud.
  • Experience in product development and management.
  • Knowledge od Project management.
  • MEF certification.
  • Working with local or regional service providers and possibly has established relationships.
  • Application awareness and SDN appreciation.
  • Creative and flexible minded, strategic thinking and eager for accomplishment.
  • Work collaboratively with good inter-personal communication skills.
