What you’ll be doing...

The Corporate Social Responsibility Consultant will be responsible for the implementation and management of community initiatives in targeted locations that engage and positively impact underserved and underrepresented populations across the United States. Specifically, the project manager will partner with Verizon’s public policy team and local community organizations to assess the core societal challenges in each location and launch initiatives that solve for these issues, which may include but not limited to the digital divide, income inequality, and lack of a quality education. The project manager will manage the partnerships with local and national non-profits to co-create and implement initiatives. He/she must have a strong understanding of how technology can be used to solve societal challenges and have excellent partner management, collaboration, innovation, problem-solving, and end-to-end project management skills. The project manager should be able to travel between 26 and 50% of the time.

  • Build, implement and manage projects with national and local non-profits that leverage Verizon’s technology with minimal guidance, within time and budget constraints, and guided with specific data and research.
  • Work collaboratively across Verizon to identify and implement technology solutions.
  • Manage a multi-million project budget that includes an ROI approach.
  • Conduct ongoing monitoring and evaluation of partners and projects, including partner site visits to ensurework is aligned with success metrics.
  • Create new processes that support project implementation and management and align with overall program goals; adhere to PMO standards, methodologies and procedures.
  • Partner with the research teamto measure the effectiveness and societal impact of the programs developed; communicate impact through quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and other communication materials for internal and external project meetings; present program overview, findings, results on a frequent basis to multiple stakeholders.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Four or more years of experience creating, implementing, and managing strategic CSR programs.
  • Experience working inGsuite.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • A master's degree.
  • Project management skills and the ability to deliver effective results.
  • Experience working with or supporting under-resourced and economically disadvantaged populations.
  • Excellent presentation, written, and communications skills.
