What you’ll be doing...

You have a strong System administrative experience and the ability to design and implement complex IT solutions. With your previous operations experience you will support our operational teams as a subject matter expert. You are keen to get hands on new technologies and ways of thinking.

You will be responsible for the following:

  • As part of project teams you will participate in designing various solutions, consisting of operating systems (Linux, Windows), storage (SAN/NAS), backup, virtualization (VMware), antivirus, database technologies.
  • Analyze business requirements, identify risks, and collaborate with functional teams and business users to deliver flexible, innovative, and cost effective solutions while meeting business needs.
  • You will deliver complex server environments and configure hardware and software in accordance with standards and business requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining solution documentation based on project requirements.
  • Be prepared to step up as a technical lead coordinating activities and projects within your department.
  • Continuously improve service availability, security and reliability, in accordance with industries best practices.
  • Maintain and develop operational procedures as part of professional transfer to operations.
  • Build and maintain relationship with important functional teams and supplier.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 operational support, investigating and troubleshooting issues according to the ITIL framework.
  • Coordinating outage response and activities by communicating with impacted parties.
  • Proactively monitor system performance and resource usage as input to capacity planning
  • Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
  • You will also mentor and train less experienced system administrators as required.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree orrelevent work experience.
  • Experience working as a system administrator or consultant.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or relevant.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu etc. or Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, or VMware vSphere 6.5/6.7.
  • Strong knowledge with server, blade server hardware or hyper converged infrastructure (DELL VXrail)
  • Knowledge with SAN/NAS hardware, management and concepts.
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Microsoft Active Directory
    • DNS or DDI products
    • Authentication solutions (Cisco ISE, Aruba, Forescout)
    • Backup (IBM Tivoli or Veeam)
    • Scripting (PowerShell, batch, UNIX scripting)
    • Databases (MSSQL, MySQL)
    • Cloud Services (AWS, Microsoft Azure)
