What you’ll be doing...

As a member of the Organizational Effectiveness and Change Management Center of Excellence, you will be part of a team responsible for supporting the Finance 2.0 transformation. Your work will involve diagnosing current state, stakeholder alignment, transformation planning, and change management and execution activities including establishing the vision, creating and cascading the change narrative, creating and leading a change agent network, and ongoing risk analysis and change analytics. As a sought after business partner and “truth teller”, you will apply creative solutions to diagnose and assess transformation gaps and determine appropriate interventions. You will demonstrate:

Business and Executive Partnering

  • Rapidly assimilating and learning the business/function; building/managing relationships with team members and key stakeholders (e.g., PMO, CFOs, Directors).
  • Establishing and maintaining the role of trusted advisor to leaders with different styles and approaches, being a truth-teller leveraging data.

Intergroup and Team Intervention

  • Identifying and improving areas of intersection between teams or groups, including but not limited to the Finance COE, Corporate Finance and BU/Functional Finance.
  • Selecting and/or designing and developing appropriate interventions (e.g., team development, conflict management, group norms, vision and goal alignment, role clarification, problem solving and decision-making process improvements).

Culture Change

  • Assessing organization culture dynamics.
  • Designing culture change plans and developing change activities to meet culture alignment objectives.
  • Collaborating with and coaching business leaders to effectively lead and support change efforts.

Change Enablement & Commitment

  • Developing and implementing change management strategies and planning to support initiatives through the deployment of VZ Change Methodology. Initiatives may include culture shifts, restructuring, and work transitions.
  • Regularly evaluating risks and designing, developing, and delivering solutions to address them.
  • Enabling stakeholder engagement, leadership alignment, impact analysis, communications, business
  • Readiness, deployment, and adoption measurement.
  • Building capabilities in partners and clients to sustain change management and organization effectiveness practices.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience working within a large, complicated organization.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Organization Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology).
  • Experience across multiple industry types.
  • Ten or more years of experience in change management or related fields.
  • Consulting experience.
  • Change management certification.
  • Six sigma green belt certification.
  • Experience leading and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced and results-driven environment.
  • The ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen with practical and comprehensive stories and lessons learned from prior change management interventions.
  • A passion for change management tools, models, frameworks, and methods while maintaining a focus on the client and the solution.
  • The ability to collect, assimilate, and analyze data to quickly get to the heart of the problem.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • The ability to make sense of complex information with ease and to solve complex problems creatively.
  • A desire to proactively approach difficult problems and leverage excellent facilitation and presentation skills to communicate clearly and bring people and organizations to where they need to go.
  • An intellectual curiosity and an inability to be satisfied with the status quo.
  • A passion for thriving equally in leading interventions and adopting others’ proven best practices and collaborating with them to get the job done.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
