Verizon Enterprise Solutions (VES) is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and drive the growth of Professional Services across two key regions for Verizon – Benelux and the Nordics. Part of the Verizon family, VES is a market leader in global enterprise for communication and collaboration services, Security, and is positioning to be a market leader in IoT. VES is seeking candidates who take pride in winning customers’ trust and bringing them industry knowledge and perspective unique to Professional Services. Focused on a key market for VES, the successful candidate will be a key contributor to an International team comprised of experienced sales, management, and industry-leading Consulting and Technical delivery talent.

This Professional Services Business Development Manager is responsible for leading and driving the growth of Professional Services within Verizon’s Customers globally. As the Professional Services Lead for these regions you will work with VES Sales leaders to:

  • Driving sales of professional services.
  • Aligning professional services and customer business outcomes.
  • Championing professional services.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in a professional sales role.
  • Experience aligning professional service and customer business outcomes.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • The ability to envision and articulate value propositions across a range of customer stakeholders.
  • Comfort in communicating and interacting at the CxO level.
  • The ability to communicate highly technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • The ability to develop and present executive-level presentations.
  • Strong negotiation skills, both internally and with client decision makers.
  • Financial business savvy.
  • Experience balancing multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience building effective internal working relationships in a complex matrix environment.
  • Passionate about thinking critically about the customer’s vision and their unique situation and challenges when problem solving.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Professional Services Sales Experience:

  • Experience delivering in-year and strategic PS revenue growth in a focused number of key customers.
  • Experience leading strategic account planning, identification of customers, and driving the growth of Professional Services within technology business.
  • The ability to clearly articulate the value proposition to all levels within a customer's organization.
  • Experience serving as a trusted advisor to develop and maintain strategic client relationships.

Experience Aligning Professional Service and Customer Business Outcomes:

  • Demonstrating strategic competitive insights and leveraging those insights to win additional client business and avoid RFx situations.
  • Orchestrating market need and validating offers jointly with Product and PS Delivery Leaders.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders (e.g., PS, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Legal) to coordinate commercial and technical discussions internally and with customers.
  • Demonstrating technical expertise across one or more strategic services towers, including:
    • Security
    • Advance Communications
    • Unified Communications and Collaboration
    • Customer Experience / Contact Center Services
    • IoT

Experience Championing Professional Services:

  • Driving adoption of PS sales and pre-sales process and act as overall escalation point.
  • Serving in a leadership position by collaborating with Sales, Professional Services, Operations, Marketing, Legal, Branding and others to ensure attainment of PS-centric revenues.
  • Guiding the RFP/RFI proposal and SOW process.
  • Identifying and coordinating Verizon and external resources to deliver customer outcomes.
