We are shaping the ongoing future of how the Consumer Business Group (Mobility & Residential) leverages media and consumer connections to drive engagement and growth. We are seeking a seasoned Media leader to join our passionate team, to help build the future of media for Verizon. You will partner with the Business Unit and the rest of the Central Marketing Organization to drive demand, engagement and overall consumer connections.

In support of this, this position plays in instrumental role in defining how Verizon brings our brand and offerings to life with consumers. From being a part of defining the strategy for how best to reach and connect across paid-owned-earned media and experiences, to then translating that into the specific paid media strategies and plans, this leader will be a smart marketer with a strong paid media expertise. Reporting to the Director of Media Strategy, this role will partner with a broad cross-functional set of talented team members to:

  • Set and deliver the vision for connecting with consumers and driving business objectives within Consumer Media scope of responsibility (demand generation, attitudinal lifts, etc.)
  • Inspire and support an internal and agency team to bring the vision to life through smart media and connections strategies and flawless execution
  • Lead the ongoing elevation of media capabilities for assigned scope, including continuous elevation of performance results as well as process and productivity to achieve them
  • Steward the thought leadership and innovation opportunities for assigned scope
  • Spark new ideas and approaches for bringing media initiatives to lif
  • Media strategy utilizing all touch points(Digital & Traditional media) and how they interact with messaging across paid/owned/earned
  • Integrated marketing mindset and how that relates to specific media and activation strategies and plans
  • Leading media teams and/or managing agencies that support multiple programs or campaigns at one time
  • Continuously elevating media effectiveness across channels, especially in digital
  • Experience in both national and local media
  • Deep analytical skills to ensure media is driving business performance
  • Understanding of data sources to ensure the internal and agency teams can connect the right data sources to drive performance decisions (i.e. audience targeting via DMP)
  • Strong leadership presence and influencing skills to steward initiatives and new ideas forward at all levels
  • Lead integrated Media Strategy for assigned responsibility within Consumer Media
  • Work closely with Creative, IMC & Agency teams to develop strategies and ideations for large scale initiatives
  • Driving Store & Digital traffic to support demand across all channels including traditional and digital media
  • Lead reporting readouts and partner with agency and Marketing Effectiveness team to improve media efficiency
  • Lead direct reports in effectively achieving business goals and developing the team
  • Developing strategies to increase growth against national as well as key geographies and consumer segments

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Media Strategy experience across all channels

Even better if you have:

  • 10+ years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Media Strategy experience across all channels
  • Strong analytical rigor
  • 7+ years of specific media strategy and activation experience
  • Prior work experience inspiring others to achieve team goals directly and indirectly
  • Mobility or residential cable/broadband experience a plus
  • Demand generation and broader marketing strategy experience
