Global Network & Technology FP&A Team

This position provides you with the opportunity to move beyond compiling data and to instead tell the story behind those numbers. You will drive better business partnering and insights while growing your FP&A leadership and interpersonal skills. You’ll become involved in, but not limited to, capital management and related system design and administration, investment analysis, monthly capital reporting and analysis and business case development. Other responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Developing in-depth business cases for the Global Network & Technology Team.
  • Owning the development of the plan and forecast, financial reporting, operational analysis, and executive reviews for Actuals, Forecast, and Business Plan.
  • Interpreting and evaluating monthly analyses of business trends, including budget variance of financial results and Key Performance Indicators to identify areas of risk and opportunities and provide recommendations.
  • Creating final performance reports, including business insights, ad-hoc analysis, and recommendations to executive management.
  • Consolidating and streamlining capital financial processes, systems, and governance.
  • Developing and implementing Zero-Based Budgeting and waste elimination models for the Network organization.
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage financial systems to enable Digital Finance via processes automation.
  • Being a valued business partner to Network Engineering, Core, and Assurance.
  • Developing meaningful and actionable financial plans and reporting that provide proactive insights to help them achieve their financial targets, while maintaining Industry leading Network performance and reliability.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience in the technology and/or telecommunications industry.
  • A professional certification (e.g. CPA, CMA).
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or SAP.
  • Knowledge of statistics, reporting, and analytical tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos, Idea, Excel) with the ability to perform in-depth analyses of large datasets to identify activities that require compliance investigation.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with the demonstrated ability to structure business cases around a high-level strategic vision.
  • Strong strategic skills with the proven ability to identify and assess key points, implications and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of corporate financial planning, reporting and analysis, and costing/profitability methodologies and processes.
  • Knowledge of common business and cost drivers, financial statement analysis, and deep-dive analysis.
  • Knowledge of FASB and SEC requirements, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, tax reporting and accounting practices, and International Financial Reporting.
  • Experience in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and project management.
  • Experience in Essbase, Smart View, Hyperion Planning, and Hyperion Strategic Finance.
  • Experience leading large and complex team projects with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
