What you’ll be doing...

The Global Supply Chain team has an opening to lead the Wireless RAN Minor Materials Supply Chain program. The candidate will be responsible for program management of the Wireless network minor materials program that supports the network build programs. Position is responsible for end-to-end ownership of minor materials program including: defining strategy, program transformation efforts, stake holder engagement, supplier engagement, business case development, data analytics, metrics and end-to-end program leadership.

The Minor Materials Team partners with internal stakeholders and suppliers to implement, expand, and develop the Minor Materials strategy for the Network build program and turnkey installation services. The candidate should be well versed and have hands on experience with program/project management, supply chain planning, inventory, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and data. The ideal candidate should have experience and knowledge of RAN and CORE material ordering and engineering processes. Candidate should have experience with managing Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), distributors, turf vendors and general contractors. A background in analyzing and modeling large data sets from disparate sources is also required.

This role will require extensive partnering with the Network team as well as a variety of stakeholder groups across other Wireless and Wireline Network organizations including vendors and Sourcing. The candidate will also need significant leadership experience and demonstrated success driving cross-functional process improvements.

The candidate responsible for:

Strategic Leadership

  • Set long-term plan and strategy for more than one hundred million dollar in direct and indirect annual spend.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams in the Network, ERP, Logistics and planning teams to understand entire eco-system and work cross-functionally to align program strategy to overall RAN network build strategies.
  • Develop and implement strategies that focus on program compliance and engineering and general contractor buy-in and utilization.
  • Strategic program development that creates a path forward for general contractor purchased and Verizon purchased material enabling timely and efficient network builds.
  • Lead cross-functional teams towards defined strategies and program implementation and improvement.
  • Program management of implementing defined strategies and Distributor Management and Governance.

Data Analytics & Cost Modeling

  • Use advanced data analytics to identify opportunities in minor materials and service delivery for the RAN Access and Core network build.
  • Data analytics to identify and address opportunities to improve the end-to-end Supply Chain.
  • Develop project cost modeling and business case inputs.
  • Benchmark existing BAU service deliverables against new program service deliverables.
  • 3rd party material pricing analytics.
  • Identify, define and develop data requirements related to supplier, supply chain and financial measures.

Communication and Engagement

  • Collaborating and driving internal process standardization.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of supply chain, systems, material and install suppliers and best practices.
  • Analyze and communicate metrics and data methodology.
  • Program advocate chartered with building field relationships to advance the program.
  • Executive level readouts.

What we’re looking for...

You will need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Supply Chain transformation experience.
  • Experience in delivery of executive communication via advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in relevant field: Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering.
  • Ability to apply data analytic techniques to pinpoint opportunities and design and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Ten or more years of industry experience with strong competency in Supply Chain and Item Master management.
  • End-to-end Supply Chain experience with demonstrated ability to manage inventory improvement initiatives with a focus on turnkey services.
  • Strong familiarity with ERP systems, Supply Chain Planning Systems, PeopleSoft, CATS (Fulcrum), Tableau and SQL.
  • Attention to detail, data accuracy and quality of output.
  • Experience in program management. 
  • Strong Project Management abilities.
  • Ability to apply data analytic techniques to pinpoint opportunities and design and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results oriented and deadline driven.
