What you’ll be doing...

We are evolving the social and emerging media marketing presence of Verizon, America’s No. 1 wireless network, the world’s largest data company and an emergent force in digital content. The B2B Lead will drive our go to market social strategy for the Verizon Business Group and will play an integral, high profile role as we usher in the 4th industrial revolution with the roll-out of our 5G network in 2019. You will be part of the future and will lead social innovation as it relates to a key business focus.

  • Define and articulate the brand’s voice in social media as we introduce Verizon Business Group to target audiences across all sectors (Enterprise, SMB, Public Policy).
  • Articulate and shape the B2B narrative across various social channels.
  • Own daily relationship with agency partners in support of B2B engagement initiatives, advocacy and tools.
  • Serve as stakeholder in cross-functional, integrated meetings, advocate for social and our best in class ambition.
  • Support and define brand’s unique social POV in the technology space.
  • Develop innovative engagement and activation programming.
  • Identify cultural and industry trends that lend themselves to creating opportunities for the Verizon Business Group, and building social campaigns to leverage these opportunities.
  • Inspire the social platform partners to shape their technology and UX roadmaps to deliver new capabilities that reinforce Verizon’s innovations and values.
  • Advocate for the adoption and implementation of B2B social media strategy within Verizon, influencing overall business and marketing initiatives.
  • Work with agencies on shaping and responding to integrated campaign briefs, ensuring social communications are aligned to brand, audience and platform(s) to achieve business objectives.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Demonstrated success in GTM launches, preferably with experience in digital B2B marketing.
  • Ability to work fluidly within a complex organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • An understanding and a point of view on how to bridge the gap between complex technology and business applications.
  • Strong knowledge of how social media fits within a larger marketing ecosystem.
  • Created work within social, including content that delivered substantial earned media value and ideas that connected to accelerated interest / lead generation.
  • Deep understanding of the social platform landscape capabilities and roadmap.
  • Knowledge of data-driven business strategy and how social supports it.
  • Knowledge of Finger on the pulse of B2B marketing trends and news in priority categories like technology, IoT, public policy, account-based marketing, experiential marketing, trade shows.
