What you’ll be doing...

This role is a blend of marketing, strategy and analytics. The Insights Consultant is responsible for deriving and interpreting analysis results to help generate business insights enabling data-driven marketing decisions for the Verizon Consumer Group (VCG). This role will work closely with the media strategy, customer insights and VCG teams to manage the effectiveness our marketing efforts end-to-end. The candidate must be a true business partner to the organization, and possess the ability to develop marketing efforts and create insights into business actions.

Specifically, this role will:

  • Provide ongoing evaluation of marketing efforts through marketing mix, test/control, and business intelligence reporting and analysis in order to integrate findings and derive value-added insights.
  • Utilize marketing mix models, in conjunction with other analytics, to inform recommendations around investment reallocations to maximize business performance.
  • Coordinate efforts between the CMO team and the VCG team to help weigh marketing efficiency vs. business results.
  • Work with other team members to interpret business needs and complete analytical process/solutions to address internal client stated objectives.
  • Support team in ensuring marketing programs are executed with data-driven philosophy and develop mechanisms to measure efforts once they are in market.
  • Work alongside team members to develop stand-alone measurement capabilities to address stakeholder needs.
  • Continuously identify process and engagement improvements to enhance the ability of the team to impact investment decisions and business results.
  • Support more senior team members with senior stakeholder engagements in informing critical business needs, such as annual planning.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in analytics across marketing effectiveness and marketing mix modeling.
  • Experience developing, maintaining and interpreting complex analytical techniques and insights.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • A degree.
  • Analytical experience interpreting quantitative data, constructing marketing mix models, providing output to identify trends, derive findings, and provide insights.
  • A focus on delivering results accurately and timely by overcoming obstacles and developing tools to improve efficiencies
  • Enthusiasm for delivering high impact projects and service to clients.
  • Strong project management skills, creative thinking and analytical ability
  • Strong communication, consultative, and interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues and business partners
  • Knowledge of how marketing investment management supports a large organization including ability to successfully articulate the linkage between business decisions, business objectives, and analytical approaches & findings.
  • Ability to work effectively across organization boundaries.
  • Knowledge of marketing, marketing analytics or strategy.
  • Knowledge of the applications and components associated with marketing mix and tactics.
  • Experience interpreting data to make business recommendations such as optimizing marketing investments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical experience interpreting quantitative data, constructing marketing mix models.
