What you’ll be doing...

Making sure that our products are available to our customers---when they want them and where they want them---will be your job. You’ll work side by side with a partner in analytics and reporting to forecast demand based upon historical data. You’ll make sure that whether the consumer is ordering direct from us, shopping in one of our retail stores, or in another channel, the product you manage will be there. Using information about upcoming promotions and seasonal events, you’ll adjust the forecast and ensure that we anticipate and meet the need. The work you do every day will have a direct impact on our customer experience by making sure we get the right product at the right time into the customer’s hands.

The Demand Manager role is responsible for overall governance for the Forward and Reverse supply planning, including New Product introduction (NPI), EOL planning and forecasting, quantitative analysis and supplier management. You must drive and support key business decisions, owning key supplier relationships including Collaborative Planning and Replenishment(CPFR) and ownership of supplier and 3PL (Clean and Screen) performance.This role will require extensive collaboration with various internal and external teams to support the S&OP and Executive Forecasting process. In this role youwill support/lead supply chain-optimization related projects involving cross-functional teams. Youwill also have significant leadership experience, demonstrated successes driving cross-functional process improvement, enabling tangible benefit to the business. You will be the catalyst for driving continuous improvement while supporting the day-to-day Supply Chain Operations.

This is a high impact, highly visible, multi-business/multi-region position in the Supply Chain organization. You will be part of a leading-edge team responsible for supporting and executing strategic efforts across Verizon’s Supply Chain organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing trends and forecasting demand of specific products by channel.
  • Ensuring that supply will meet the forecasted demand.
  • Adjusting the demand plan (and ensuring adequate supply) for promotional and market factors.
  • Using demand planning software, tracking results and outcomes.
  • Resolving out-of-stock issues and proactively reducing product shortages.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in end-to-end supply chains, established effectiveness with managing inventory improvement initiatives with a focus in Supply Planning, Inventory Optimization, CPFR processes, and S&OP processes.
  • Experience managing replenishment activities out of a regional distribution center.
  • Experience in vendor relationship management, negotiation skills, and implementation supplier scorecards (OEM / 3PL Management).
  • Strong technical experience with Excel and PowerPoint.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Business or Operations, Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Experience in managing employees.
  • Experience with planning & replenishment systems.
  • Experience with managing a reverse logistics process including planning, operations and returns forecasting.
  • Strong problem solver with ability to resolve conflicts, assertive, good in both written and oral communications with ability to create and deliver executive presentations.
  • Effective interpersonal and mentoring skills in driving employee performance, engagement, satisfaction and development.
  • Leadership skills and the proven ability to engage, influence, and develop collaborative partnerships with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to apply advanced analytic techniques such as optimization, simulation, data mining and statistics to design, implement, validate and refine mathematical models and algorithms to understand and optimize supply chain.
