What you’ll be doing...

Security service management is the focus point for all operational security service issues, cadence, reporting and execution. The Security Operational Lead (SOL) oversees the cyber security services and reporting; and will be the primary liaison, point of contact and trusted security advisor for the Customer. Responsible for operational security escalation handling for service delivery governance and coordination as it relates the detection and response service capabilities of the ‘Customer’ cyber security services as delivered by Verizon.

The Lead will be a ‘Key Person’ resource assigned to ‘Customer’ and be an extension to its security team to ensure the consistent delivery of the ‘Customer’ cyber security services.


  • Primary liaison to ‘Customer’ and single point of contact for the bi-directional communication of operational security issues.
  • Assurance of the service integrity and delivery according to contractual SLA/KPIs for the duration of the contract.
  • Maintenance of service quality of SDs and SLAs, change request process management, and supporting processes, procedures, and documentation (e.g. ‘Customer’ Context information).
  • To demonstrate with relevant metrics on a monthly basis that operational security services are delivered to ‘Customer’' expectation and satisfaction.
  • Calculation, reporting and notification of service consumption time in collaboration with the SOC team in terms of monthly versus actual utilization with relevant metrics.
  • Provide timely operational reports of execution status and performance for Operations Management including service quality reviews, and SLA reports.
  • Deliver operational reports with relevant metrics to demonstrate risk reductions over a period of time. This includes the publication of monthly trend reports.
  • Coordinator and Facilitator (e.g. Knowledge Transfer Sessions) for the integration of Verizon operational components.
  • Attend Supplier weekly intelligence calls and intelligence summary reports.
  • Regularly meets with ‘Customer’ operational stakeholders to;
  • Review status and performance of operational security;
  • Identify service delivery issues and review issue remediation plans.
  • Conduct and complete all mandatory training requirements for ‘Customer’.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of experience within cyber security operations and networking management and/or IT infrastructure consulting, and customer engagement and advisory services for multi-service cyber security operations projects.
  • Experience as Enterprise Security Operations management.
  • Experience in correlating business drivers and needs (risk drivers, impacts, and restrictions) into proposed technical operation solutions.
  • Professional or lower level industry proven active certifications within the cyber security (CISSP, CISM or GIAC) etc.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in Science (BS) or higher with a STEM focus (Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Digital Technology, Software Engineering, or Mathematics).
  • Certifications and/or significant experience in other areas such as MCSE, CEH, Security, UC, etc.
  • Subject matter expertise and competency within claimed specialty (ies), for example: SOC/SIEM, FW, IDS/IPS, WSG, ESG, WAF, IAM, PAM, EDR, SIEM etc.
  • Experience with software and application development.
  • Knowledgeinemerging tech such as ML, IA, IoT, SDN, NFV, etc.
  • Experience with cloud-based services (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.)
  • Experience withany of following: cellular WAN technologies and solutions, WAN optimization, Wireless.
  • LAN, datacenter technologies, virtualization technologies and concepts, security appliances and concepts.
  • Previous consulting experience in ‘BIG 4’ or security management responsibility in an enterprise environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% or less.
