The Routing team is responsible for a range of software products and services that help people use their vehicles more efficiently. These include powerful algorithms which find optimal paths through large-scale road networks, and web UIs which let users optimize their plans for their vehicle fleets.

We are seeking a Build Engineer to accelerate our continuous integration and delivery processes. The candidate will work with our application development teams to improve and create automated build, test and deployment processes for all of our software products and services. They will play a key role in helping us deliver value to our customers faster.

  • Work closely with a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, QA Automation Engineers, Operations and business stakeholders to ensure smooth and rapid deployment of software updates.
  • Proactively work with the team to improve the process of building and deploying solutions across all test and production environments.
  • Develop and maintain reusable automation scripts and components with a variety of build and deployment automation tools, including but not limited to: source control systems (e.g. Mercurial and Git), build runners (e.g. TeamCity, Bamboo or Jenkins), deployment automation (e.g. Octopus, Ansible, Chef) and AWS IaC (infrastructure as code) scripts.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
  • Experience with building automated Build/Release processes in an Agile development environment.
  • Experience with build and deployment automation platforms such as Bamboo, TeamCity, Jenkins, Octopus Deploy, Web Deploy (MSDeploy), TFS, AWS CodeDeploy, GoCD.
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git or Mercurial.
  • Experience with SQL databases.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills, especially in PowerShell and Bash.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with large enterprise scale solutions.
  • Experience with Blue/Green deployments.
  • Understanding of .NET framework, C#, TypeScript, NodeJS.
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, .NET Core deployments.
  • Development and/or DBA experience with RDBMS such as MS SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows.
