What you’ll be doing...

Drives profitable revenue growth through the strategic development and implementation of product marketing plans and acquisition-related product migration plans. Immediate focus on program/product management of acquired services (Ethernet, IP, TDM, Wave, etc) and their migration to Verizon network.

  • Developing segment, solution and product specific marketing plans in support of the Global Wholesale go-to-market strategy for services acquired via the XO Communications acquisition. This includes TDM (DS1, DS3), Ethernet, IP, and Wave.
  • Developing pricing and promotional strategies and day-to-day pricing support for transitioning/migrating services.
  • Developing and maintaining positioning statements for Verizon wholesale products.
  • Managing all marketing and promotional activities.
  • Managing communications (internal and external) and program management for network transition, product migrations, and service consolidation.
  • Analyzing market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products; directing analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information.
  • Preparing internal executive reviews and status updates for transitioning services.
  • Defending service revenues/margins as products consolidate and transition between networks.
  • Developing marketing plans and projects for new and existing products.
  • Expanding and developing marketing platforms; managing the productivity of the marketing plans and project.
  • Helps drive systems development efforts by providing input to and the prioritization of deliverables to support Customer Enablement, Contracting and Billing.
  • Consulting with stakeholder team on product specifications such as design, features, and cost structure.
  • Formulating and coordinating marketing activities to ensure products and services can be priced, ordered and billed accurately.
  • Acting as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Implementation of Right to Buy and Transactional contracting.
  • Driving channel effectiveness through the marketing, education and positioning related to product/solution offerings.
  • Creating comprehensive tools and content to support the sales and services organizations' efforts to sell, migrate, and implement wholesale products and services.
  • Developing expert level knowledge of the competitive landscape and our key differentiators.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in high tech or telecommunications industry.
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience in all aspects of developing and managing marketing strategies.

Even better if you have:

  • Degree in business, marketing or other creative field.
  • Familiarity with product and industry knowledge (wholesale telecommunications).
  • Financial/Pricing experience.
  • Familiarity and experience working with Telecom services, notably TDM, Ethernet, IP, and Wave.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Program/Project management experience.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
