What you’ll be doing...

The position is primarily responsible for developing audit and error correction processes as they relate to promotional offers. The Consultant will develop and drive SME decision-makers towards process optimization and productivity maximization through identifying, recommending, developing, and supporting cost-effective business solutions. This individual will be responsible for developing processes to enhance the audit and error correction process for promotions, with a focus on equipment discounting. The individual will ideally possess comprehensive knowledge of promotional operations with Verizon which includes; planning, approvals, controls, and monitoring various internal systems used to carry out promotions. The individual will be expected to author and maintain SQL procedures in both Oracle and Teradata databases.

The Consultant will be expected to attend and participate in various projects utilizing the Agile process. They will be responsible for identifying and understanding systematic gaps that need to be closed in order for offers to work as expected. This requires excellent insight into Verizon systems, business processes, and financial operations knowledge. User stories will have to be written and followed through the Agile process in order to ensure proper resolution of gaps.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in SQL using any of the following applications: PL/SQL Developer, TOAD, and Teradata SQL Assistant.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Ability to make independent decisions in the best interest of Verizon.
  • Ability to understand stored data and create SQL statements to extract information per business need.
  • Knowledge of EDW tables containing Point of Sale data.
  • Experience with REVO Oracle database tables and data.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision. Must be self-motivated and highly adaptable to change.
  • Ability to work in a team environment within Revenue Assurance and with other business groups.
  • Demonstrated time management and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (oral and written) at every level of the organization including senior management.
  • Strong desire to ensure the accurate recording of company revenues, capabilityof independent decision-making, with a thorough knowledge of Wireless billing and equipment processes.
  • Ability to handlemultiple project deadline requirements.
  • Willingness to work in a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as necessary.
