UX Principal and Manager (Dublin)

What you’ll be doing…
As the UX Principal and Manager you will report into the Head of UX, Service and Product Design. You will manage part of the growing team based in Dublin, and lead that team’s output in UX, user research and service design.

Responsibilities:
You will lead the Dublin Research and Experience design team working closely with engineering, product management, product marketing, senior executives and key stakeholders to ensure the team goes successfully from research, to early stage concepts, user testing, to launch and repeat, all following our established end-to-end process. You will also be responsible for the strategy, OKRs and KPIs in your area.

What we’re looking for...

  • 15+ years in UX
  • A proven track record of hiring, mentoring, developing and managing others in a team of 10 or more.
  • Excellent communication skills, comfortable updating senior executives and reporting regularly.
  • Collaborating and aligning with Product Management and Engineering.
  • User Research leadership experience and data analytics experience.
  • Examples of how all you and your teams’ workshops lead to actionable plans with accountability from other functional areas and leadership.
  • Capable of managing multiple schedules, resource planning and priorities across a team, adapting and reprioritizing throughout the day.
  • Immerse yourself in the user journey through our products and those of our competitors, help the UX Leads to craft the user experience and ensure the user is placed at the centre of the design and development process throughout.
  • Help the designers plan and run workshops and assist or guide the process through the various stages of UX design process including UX brief, research, wireframing, prototyping, testing and iterating.
  • Responsible for the organizing, managing and moderating of user testing on a product level.
  • You will be an ambassador for simple design, ease of use and user centered design across Verizon Connect.

Even better if you:

  • End to end Saas product experience, including e-commerce.
  • Identify user problems and issues through hands-on user research and user testing.
  • Service Design process, and proven track record of actionable outcomes based on To-Be blueprinting workshops and stakeholder management.
  • Experience of working in cross functional teams throughout the end-to-end Design Process.
  • Working in Lean Kanban and Lean UX Methodology.
  • An online portfolio showcasing some, or all, of the following – Research, Personas, UX Flows, Experience Maps, Prototypes and User Testing.
  • Experience in the Design Thinking methodology.

Nice to have:

  • Experience of Lean UX and Kanban a distinct advantage.
  • Degree (MS/BA/BS) in interaction, UX, visual or graphic design, HCI or equivalent experience.
  • Business and process transformation experience.
