What you’ll be doing...

We are looking to hire a Senior Java IVR Developer for the System of Engagement Team. OMNI Voice handles all projects related to Voice Technology in Verizon Consumer Group. The team handles the IVR (Interactive Voice Recognition) Voice Application Development in AEP Platform, Voice Tools Management, Voice Applications in Contact Center, Voice Biometrics & Fraud Management and also Voice Bot Development in Alexa, Google Dialog Flow. Wireless IVR - Handles 4.5 million calls a day with 85% self-serve rate. Verizon Wireless IT’s IVR is an enterprise-wide solution that supports multiple business segments 24X7 and is the front door for service calls catering to both English and Spanish speaking customer base.

  • Be part of development team and contribute to the design & development tasks.
  • Work on defining, designing & developing OD layer code for delivering Voice applications in AEP.
  • Deliver across the entire app life cycle – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support on IVR applications including Voice Bots.
  • Work on IVR development with Avaya OD using MicroServices.
  • Participate in application requirements for applications,
  • Track and develop tasks on time with no compromise to quality and keeping productivity of the team.
  • Impact analysis and risk analysis processes to be followed in case of change requests.
  • Ensure performance of the code developed as an ongoing basis and use the right tools for the same.
  • Work closely with team to develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in the web technologies.
  • Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects.
  • Ensure security validations during design and coding.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in programming with Java and J2EE Technologies.
  • Experience with IVR systems.
  • Experience with a high-performance, high-availability environment

Even better if you have:

  • A Degree.
  • Experience with Avaya Experience Portal using Orchestrations Designer.
  • Experience with REST & SOAP Web Services technology.
  • Experience in Dev Ops Tool Chain (Git/Stash, JIRA, Confluence, Junit, JaCoCo, Sonar, Fortify, Jenkins).
  • Knowledge in Microservices development.
  • Experience in No SQL database – Cassandra.
  • Knowledge of designing and developing IVR applications on MPS 1000 IVR using Periproduder.
  • Experience in NLP & Bot development.
  • Experience with WebSphere/Tomcat.
