What you’ll be doing...

Senior software engineer, responsible for full support of Tax IT applications, including system design, development, and operational support.

Responsibilities

  • Developing web and database applications, including design, construction, and implementation.
  • Software testing, including setup and defect resolution.
  • Operational and end user support for applications.
  • Working with and analyzing large volumes of complex data.
  • Management of software development projects.
  • Interfacing and sharing information between the business users and technical team.
  • Cultivating a strong understanding of tax business processes and underlying concepts.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with all aspects of application design and development.
  • Experience and commitment following Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Advanced SQL database development, including data modeling, SQL coding, and ETL techniques.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree in business intelligence, mathematics, statistics or marketing.
  • Developed reporting solutions using Microsoft Report Builder.
  • Incorporated SQL data sources into Microsoft Office products.
  • Built and maintained SharePoint sites.
  • Experience using Tealeaf, Adobe Analytics, and Trasact-SQL.
  • Experience presenting to and interacting with executives.
  • MS SQL Server 2016 database, SSIS ETL, and SSRS reporting development tools.
  • Ability to design, analyze, program and implement user interfaces, DLLs, Web Services, etc.
  • MS .net application development, including C#, VB .net, MVC, JQuery, & Telerik controls.
  • MS Visual Studio, TFS, and Visual Source Safe development tools.
  • Full Stack web application development with Angular 6 and up and Web API.
  • Understanding of software development standards and best practices.
  • Strong systems operations and user support experience.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Ability to develop and document system requirements and design.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex business concepts.
  • Ten years of relevant technical experience.
  • Strong team player with solid interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Knowledge of finance, tax, and financial systems.
  • Experience with billing business processes.
  • Experience with the Telecom industry.
