What you’ll be doing...

As our Technical Operations Support Services (TOSS) Web Developer, you will perform a lead role and sub-plan owner for the TOSS for Program Managers launching LRA (LTE Rural America) initiatives. You will create and support technical tools used by the TOSS including the ticketing tool for tracking all tickets (includes IT, network, SIM, device, PS 911 and testing tickets). You will create, update and support the external facing LRA tool used by the LRA Participants to view network utilization reports, KPIs (key performance indicators), LRA training and support documentation, outage notification tool, device certification automation, and more All programming, code development, testing and support of these tools is performed by the TOSS.

In addition, this position will also require hands-on problem resolution and operational assistance for Lessees participating in the LRA (LTE in Rural America) Program, in support of their integrated networks, devices and interfaces with the Verizon Wireless LTE Core Network. With a focus on customer service, you will research and troubleshoot problems, support operational requests, tracks and resolve concerns, and as necessary, escalate complex situations for resolution, exercising independence and skill in problem solving. In this capacity, you will communicate directly with external LRA participants and vendors and internally with Verizon IT, Network and Device/SIM technical support teams for timely and prompt issue resolution within established procedures, service levels and metrics. This position will typically only have highly complex technical issues to resolve.

Documentation and Training

  • Develop user documentation for tools developed for use by the end users.
  • Work to maintain all user documentation as changes, enhancements, fixes and upgrades are made to the tools.
  • Lead training calls/sessions, prior to launch, to prepare for training and communication with end users.
  • Lead internal trainings for TOSS on new projects/responsibilities.
  • Lead external trainings for Participants both on-site and remote.

Secondary General TOSS Responsibilities

  • Provide real-time troubleshooting support for participants.
  • Collaborates withVerizon WirelessNetwork, IT, and Vendors to resolve complex customer impacting issues.
  • Research and troubleshoot problems, support operational request, track and resolves concerns, and as necessary escalate complex issues for resolution.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • SQL and Microsoft SQL Server management Studio experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree in a technical field or three or more years of wireless; or relevantcombination of education and work experience.
  • Experience in procedural PHP and OOP, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Laravel and Drupal frameworks.
  • Experience in content management systems including Drupal, mantisBT, and DokuWiki.
  • Experience with Photoshop.
  • A strong sense of urgency with the ability to be results oriented, proactive and flexible.
  • Demonstrated technical and analytical skills.
  • Strong business knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to build relationships and fosters teamwork.
  • Ability to be adaptable to changing business needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels: from team members to executive management.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Experience in RF or System Performance Network roles.
  • A+, Net+, CCNA certifications.
  • MTAS, MARS, RSSx, NetGeo experience.
  • Gemexplorer, device testing, device software management experience.
  • SIM experience/knowledge.
  • LTE/GSM experience.
