What you’ll be doing...

We are looking for a creative, driven Project Manager who will be responsible for the on-time, on-budget delivery of large, complex Digital projects and programs. You will drive a portfolio of innovative projects to enable digital operational excellence in Verizon Business Group (VBG) Customer Operations. The program direction includes artificial intelligence, operations automation, and industry leading omnichannel technology to improve the efficiency and client experience of our services. You will ensure high quality deliverables referenced in the project schedule maintaining adherence to delivery best practices.

  • Demonstrate clear and consistent ownership and accountability for the delivery of projects including, but not limited to:
    • Administrate demand for use case development.
    • Drive and coordinate evaluation of use cases.
    • Maintain the use-case backlog and roadmap on an ongoing basis.
    • Project schedule development, management and tracking.
    • Project risk management - project issue management.
    • Project communication / reporting management.
  • Be responsible for overall success of the project and/or program and adherence to the approved project scope and budget.
  • Develop strong professional relationship with business and program stakeholder(s) consistently demonstrating knowledge of the program product offering.
  • Consistently represent self as the delivery leader.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years work experience
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Four or more years of experience in project management
  • Willingness to work extended hours as necessary in order to ensure project delivery timelines are met.
  • Willingness to travel.

  • A degree.
  • Ability to host and facilitate meetings attended by stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills to accurately represent and convey information both in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to multi-task and be aware of several simultaneous work streams, and experience managing competing and conflicting priorities in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Understanding of project management processes and principles, including experience in deliverables associated with these practices.
  • Current and active PMP certification.
  • Familiarity with ITIL methodology.
  • Experience working with agile methodology.
  • Experience managing competing and conflicting priorities in a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to thrive in challenging situations.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a self-directed work team.
