What you’ll be doing...

Skyward, A Verizon Company, is looking for a Financial Operations Analyst to join our Skyward Team.As a member of the Skyward Team focused on financial operations, you’ll move beyond compiling data and help tell the story behind the numbers. This position works horizontally across all divisions of Skyward and offers opportunities to drive better business efficiency & insights, while growing your financial operations expertise and interpersonal skills. You are considered a business partner and your contributions will make a difference. You’ll become involved in, but not limited to, day-to-day expense management and insights, financial operations, P&L scenario modeling, partner reporting operations, revenue and expense forecasting and financial modeling to support key account optimization strategies and new products and services.

  • Assist in all aspects of the day-to-day management of Skyward’s financial transactions.
  • Manage customer billing and AR by processing customer checks, logging/tracking payments, requesting invoices from external Verizon revenue teams, sending invoices and payment instructions to customers, and completing vendor setup forms as requested.
  • Process requisitions/PO’s in PeopleSoft 9.1 for various sourcing needs across the company, overseeing the process from receipt creation to delivery.
  • Manage delegated accounting email inbox for any AP invoices, and work with management for approval.
  • Providedecision support (processing/tracking/reconciling) on Opex/CapEx invoices
  • Full responsibility for PO management, partner invoice processing and other partner related financial operations.
  • Manage spend across company purchasing cards.
  • Prepare final monthly analyses of business trends and budget variance of financial results and key performance indicators to be used in management reviews and strategic business analysis sessions.
  • Develop in depth analysis of the business performance and recommend action plans; including gap closures, considerations for managing cost, growing the revenue and profitability.
  • Develop final capital planning models, reports, templates and variance analysis.
  • Create cash flow statement and ad-hoc cash flow analysis/trending, when applicable.
  • Define the need for and the source of data requirements for the planning & forecasting and reporting processes.
  • Conduct the development of strategic business analysis with overlays and commentary.
  • Create final performance reports, including business insights, ad-hoc analysis and recommendations to Skyward management.
  • Proactively identify possible scenarios, risks and opportunities around business performance.
  • Create profitability/costing models and oversee/communicate model updates.
  • Develop and analyze economic drivers and optimization models for strategic partnerships, as applicable.
  • Communicate with stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.

What we’re looking for...

You need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or four or more years of work experience.
  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft9.1 and NetSuite.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams simultaneously.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
