The Verizon Global Network & Technology organization relies on massively scalable, widely distributed, highly performant, and efficient software systems and business know-how to attack new technologies and business problems head-on. Verizon's Data Analytics, Insights and Enablement team works with some of the largest data sets collected from the largest, most reliable network. We are responsible for providing fast, clean, and relevant data for Verizon's network and field organizations as well as key measurements and insights about performance to front line employees serving our customers. We work side by side with Verizon team members and other partners to develop next-generation technologies to ensure our networks are available when our customers need them through complex, scalable data platforms, with ever-growing and ineresting challenges.

You’ll be helping us bring the best possible experiences to our customers by helping us to identify what they like, and create personalized recommendations for them based on what we’ve learned. Using your analytics expertise, you’ll help us to enhance our customer experience by ensuring best-in-class network quality, increasing efficiency, and predicting and preventing network issues.

  • Using data creatively to understand our customer behavior to personalize and enhance their experience.
  • Partnering with others across the business to build machine learning models, prototypes, and new approaches for analyzing consumer behavior.
  • Designing experiments to confirm our assumptions and answer our questions.
  • Designing creative approaches using data analytic and AI/ML techniques to uncover the most valuable opportunities for cost and time-savings.
  • Consulting and communicating with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders on insights, trends, and data-driven recommendations and solutions.
  • Finding ways to improve customer experience by developing statistical models, creating libraries, utilities and code.

    What we’re looking for...

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Four or more years of relevant work experience.
    • Experience with Python.
    • Experience with R, JMP or MatLab.
    • Experience with SQL.
    • Experience analyzing large data sets.
    • Experience with applied statistics including regression models.
    • Experience developing machine learning models.
    • Willingness to travel.

    Even better if you have:

    • A degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
    • Experience with Tableau or related visual analysis tool.
    • Experience with SPLUNK.
    • Experience developing visually compelling, interactive dashboards.
