The role

  • The role of the Federal UCC Collaboration Consultant is to develop technology solutions based on customer desired business outcomes.
  • The Consultant will work collaboratively with the account team to sell with, and directly to, our customers as a force multiplier.
  • Subject matter expertise is required in the area of Unified Communications and Collaboration to include cloud based IP communication services (Cisco HCS-G, Cisco Broadcloud, Avaya, Microsoft), IP trunking, net/video/audio conferencing, e911 and other related UC technologies.
  • Additionally the role includes the development of strategic plans with customers and account teams for transformation to IP communications and associated Professional Services to consult on strategy and project deployment.
  • This is a quota based position with monthly and annual targets.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Eight or more years in selling customized and strategic solutions.
  • Five or more years working with Federal customers.
  • Experience in account development and leadership.
  • Experience in selling and thorough knowledge of Unified Communications & Collaboration products.

Even better if you have….

  • A degree.
  • Experience in creating opportunities and a proven track record of success in exceeding sales quotas year over year.
  • Experience in selling to Federal Agencies.
  • Experience of leading, and closing large complex deals.
  • Success selling to the C-Level community and generating significant new opportunities, funnel and wins across multiple agencies.
  • Excellent C-level and technical level presenting experience and can articulate technology, industry expertise, vision and business outcomes.
  • Good written skills both technical and strategic to articulate Verizon solutions, differentiators and win themes in presentations and proposals.
  • Experience is required across the following product disciplines (and more); IP Telephony (SIP), VoIP/PBX, IP Consulting, Unified Communications and Collaboration, Video Conferencing, Professional Services, or Outsourcing, and knowledge of broader technologies such as cloud, security and Contact Center.
  • Knowledge of Federal Security requirements such as FedRAMP, FISMA, JITC and IL.
  • Experience understanding an Agency’s Procurement Process and closing business. Experience and an understanding of selling through GSA Contract vehicles and the EIS contract.
  • Experience in working with all three agency types; Civilian, DOD and Intel Agencies.
  • A government Security Clearance recent or past.
  • Participation in Federal Technology organizations to work with the government to drive discussions on how technology can improve an agencies mission.

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Willingness to travel
