What you’ll be doing...

This role will own the end-to-end process of developing our Real Time Enterprise (RTE) Go-to-market strategy to drive where we head next and transform the enterprise market, specifically leading several projects associated with key verticals (Retail and Manufacturing) that are directly associated with not just the strategic goals of the SVP organization but the external goals of Verizon.

In this role the employee will explore the current state of IoT including market sizing and define the opportunity valuations through complex analysis based upon specific knowledge and experience of the industry, identify gaps and related solutions, develop the next strategic product opportunity through Business Case development, define the long-term vision for these verticals and, create a Go-To-Market plan.


  • Assigned to be the product leader for complex/highly visible projects with ownership and accountability for quality of all deliverables - Projects will directly support the strategic evolution of deliverables within the organization (SVP group).
  • Perform project management activities such as planning, sizing, configuration, resources and scheduling.
  • Own the process of designing business models, pricing, channel strategy, target segments, customer profiles, execution plan and financial business case for relevant use cases within Retail and Manufacturing industries.
  • Own the market research process, from understanding technology trends, to identifying opportunities for Verizon. This includes complex analysis and the development of a unique understanding of emerging technology trends, total market sizes, market segments, customer needs, etc., that will be leveraged to bring new technologies or services to market. Responsible of presenting outcomes, providing a POV, guiding and aiding the executive team in decision making of Real Time Enterprise products/services.
  • Drive the competitive strategy of emerging technologies or services by creating plans that reflect a deep understanding of the level of competition in an industry or segment with the goal of deriving insights that drive Verizon to react faster to the evolving landscape and identify potential partnerships.
  • Lead the process of defining key capabilities required for Real time enterprise use cases and create a gap analysis that determines Verizon’s current position and what capabilities are needed to execute on a GTM strategy.
  • Drive alignment across executive management on specific strategic directions for products in targeted verticals.
  • Support other product leaders including peers in accomplishing their tasks as needed.
  • Conceptualize and develop resolutions to complex market challenges and customer use cases that require the use of creativity.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s in business, finance, economics, computer science, or mathematics or related field.
  • 6+ years of product management experience in Retail or Manufacturing industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams, including product management, marketing, finance, legal and technical teams.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically.
  • Makes decisions that impact projects and staff members.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives of assignments.
  • Ability to work to completion without direction.
  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills - ability to use data to develop and measure go to market programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • MBA
  • 10+ years of product management experience in Retail or Manufacturing industry
  • Substantial knowledge of Cloud technologies, telecoms and IoT Business Models
  • Deep knowledge of emerging technologies (AI/ML, AR/VR, blockchain, robotics, IoT, etc.)
  • Has broad understanding of products and technologies across Verizon and how they may strategically align with projects.
  • Exceptional planning, coordination, and execution skills. Ability to negotiate, influence, manage and drive action.
  • Proven track record of defining and delivering innovative go-to-market strategies that drive long-term results.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Generally considered an industry expert amongst internal and external peer groups.
  • Experience leading or participating in panel discussions.
  • Holds patents or has published industry papers/documents/literature.
