What you’ll be doing...

Leading a team of individual contributor cyber security consultants and professionals supporting various lines of business in the region with responsibility to drive team’s cyber security compliance, monitoring, and consulting activities. Responsible to help manage and maintain quality Customer Relations and Growth, Regional Operations Strategy, Processes, and Procedures, & driving all of Human Resources related policies and processes.

  • Responsible for day to day Operations Management and Performance Management of your team towards organizational objectives.
  • Ensure SLAs and performance objectives are met through strong task and portal management practices.
  • Ability to drive solutions locally for various internal line of business clients.
  • Daily management and professional development of a team of individual contributors who are focused on tasks including resolution of service disruption, incident management, request for change or a wish to escalate resolution.
  • Perform cyber security compliance, monitoring, and consulting activities as business and operational needs arise.
  • Provides Problem Management support for your group to develop approaches, detect root causes, and formulate recommended tactical and strategic mitigations.
  • Assist in formulating strategies to improve productivity and adherence to SLAs while ensuring Security and Industry standards are followed.
  • Responsible for leading/championing all Company / HR policy and directives to ensure full compliance within your team.
  • Adhere to and enforce the Verizon Code of Conduct.
  • Any other tasks as required as communicated to you by your leadership.

What we’re looking for...

You should be a highly responsible, logical and energetic individual dedicated to the success of the organization and team members with the following attributes and experience.

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of work experience in same leadership function with strong leadership experience managing teams in a technical environment with experience in Cyber or Information Security.
  • Experience with network security, risk management, vulnerability assessment, security breach investigation, PCI DSS,ISO27001ethical hacking, forensics investigation, ITIL, or COBIT frameworks.
  • Three or more years of Information Security and Compliance.
  • Willingness to work on a graveyard shift schedule.
  • Strong Project and Task management skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
