We have an immediate need for a Technical Project Manager to facilitate the delivery of our award-winning Fleet Management product Reveal and assist in our transformation to a lean software team. You would be our key leader to ensure the flow of work along our value stream and will drive collaboration across all actors involved in delivering initiatives (e.g., Network, Storage, DBA, Windows, AWS & Linux, engineering, architecture, senior management). This role offers strong personal and professional growth opportunities, as well as the ability to have a meaningful impact on in one of the largest SaaS businesses in the world.

Responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Working within the Lean/Kanban methodology employed in Verizon Connect.
  • Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and championing those improvements across the organization.
  • Strategically planning short, mid, and long-term project objectives and identifying interdependencies.
  • Coordinating the activities of multiple teams and managing the dependencies between them, all in a lean operation.
  • Using Lean and Agile methodologies to track progress and provide informed insight into projected completion dates for initiatives.
  • Identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks and issues identified throughout the delivery of initiatives.
  • Facilitating and enabling effective team meetings and leading high-performance teams.
  • Communicating effectively with team members, senior leaders, and the broader organization.
    Keeping senior management and key stakeholders informed of project status and escalating issues when they impact timeline, scope, quality, or budget.
  • Contributing to the functional excellence of project management by participating in the development and continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and tools related to program and portfolio management practices.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
  • Project management experience.
  • Experience in Agile and Lean development methodologies and managing complex projects in an Agile environment, with experience in different SDLC methodologies.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Five or more years of project management experience (ideally with relevant qualifications).
  • The ability to think strategically when planning work and managing teams and processes.
  • The ability to assume ownership for all aspects of project management.
  • The ability to partner effectively with delivery managers.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to influence others without formal authority.
  • A strong customer service orientation and the ability to enable successful collaboration with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Experience facilitating project team meetings.
  • Cross-functional communication and decision-making skills.
  • The ability to ensure alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong judgment and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work effective with cross-functional or horizontally-aligned teams.
  • Experience with infrastructure roll-out projects.
