What you’ll be doing...

Continuous improvement efforts drive our business and you will work with customer technical teams to provide equipment for the customers’ locations. You will be Responsible for Inventory control and management related to Army Reserve Network (ARNET) network assets. The Logistics Specialist position will coordinate his or her support of managed devices and deployment activities with the Verizon engineering staff in Richardson, TX. The Logistics Specialist position will be the process facilitator for USAR ARNET network assets supporting over 700 USARC field sites. The Logistics Specialist will provide guidance and daily statistics on the asset allocation to field locations, inventories and property book control. Create receiving and shipping documentation for all equipment at the staging facility.

  • Work with government property book officers for the disposition of equipment at the customers’ locations
  • Create reports about logistics performed
  • Coordinate the shipment of all equipment to the customers’ locations
  • Leading efforts to escalate across internal groups to resolve issues impacting customer service.
  • Resolving business problems and escalated issues by working closely within and across teams.
  • Monitoring KPIs across several technologies and implementing action plans when needed.
  • Ensuring team compliance with existing agreements, policies and reporting requirements.

What we’re looking for...

Your attention to details is paramount and you are very good with tracking serial numbers of equipment and parts. You will be expected to manage equipment inventory without any mistakes. You need to know what the pieces and parts are designed for and what goes together.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with Logistics/Supply chain service functions.
  • Government Secret Clearance Required.
  • Project management experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A Degree.
  • Experience with Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army).
  • Experience with the various ARMY forms related to property accountability.
  • Experience managing vendors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of logistics services, systems, and applications.
  • Ability to think strategically with a focus on implementation and execution.
  • Skill in Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint).
