What you’ll be doing...

This position will lead a staff ofseven accountants in the Non-Income Tax Accounting team. This position requires a forward thinking leader ensuring the timely and accurate completion of account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting requirements. You will also be responsible for ensuring a smooth running end to end process, from budgeting and interaction with operational teams, in accounting, tax, budget, financial planning and others. This is a high visibility role in which you will interact with senior leadership across accounting, finance and tax.

The successful candidate will need to have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, will need to be a leader that can motivate and develop the staff and be proficient in improving processes and be familiar with various automation software.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform/review monthly account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Manage and adhere to all SOX controls
  • Encourage team to automate, develop process improvements, including the use of robotics software
  • Lead the development of annual budgets and the Zero Based Budgeting process for tax
  • Provide guidance and liaison with external auditors on account reconciliations
  • Work closely with internal and independent auditors
  • Handle special projects

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of accounting experience/ related business experience, with an emphasis on account reconciliations.

Even better if you have:

  • Adegree.
  • CPA.
  • Experience in motivation and leading a team.
  • Ability to build relationships and work cross functionally.
  • Experienced in developing process improvements and familiar with automation software.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of work-product accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presenting results to management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as excel in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize deliverables and meet tight deadlines during the month-end accounting closing process.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter with strong PC skills and a proficiency in data manipulation involving the use of pivot tables.
  • Knowledge of Zero-Based budgeting.
  • Experience of SAP and PeopleSoft financial systems, and Blackline; a Sarbanes-Oxley account reconciliation tool.
  • Working knowledge of artificial intelligence (“BOTS”) technical skills.
