What you’ll be doing...

With your analytical, big data and reporting expertise, you will deliver business value through customer intelligence reporting and analytics by driving insights to actions. One way you will accomplish this is by developing analytical views of data utilizing various BI tools such as Tableau, Kibana, PowerBI, Qlik, and proprietary web-based applications. You’ll also connect various data locations to stage data before visualizations. The customer insights and recommendations you provide will help to improve performance.

Work will span the customer experience process, so your work may include everything from mapping the ideal customer journey to evolving a product feature after launch.

  • Strategizing, overseeing, documenting, resource planning and defining scope on data integration with evolving timelines in various stages of completing.
  • Architect the integration of multiple databases and systems to connect external and internal customer feedback into a cohesive integrated dashboard.
  • Expertise in product validation activities associated with obtaining customer feedback for insights gathering.
  • Leading collaboration with business leads and IT to execute all visual design stages from concept and requirements to final hand-off to business unit end-users.
  • Partner with IT, Business, and Research leads to gain an understanding of business, technical, and end user needs to help define and defend strategy for design solutions.
  • Partner with IT to understand technical constraints and opportunities, ensuring designs are implementable, scalable, and accessible.
  • Partner with strategic business leads to ensure clear two-way gathering and distribution of business intelligence and requirements.

Familiarity and teaming with design experts to…

  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing wireframes, production documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and models.
  • Review existing visualizations to assess existing opportunities for improvement within the business and to drive a best-in-class user Interface solution.

What we’re looking for...

You are good with numbers and you love to dig into data to find the story. Designing reports and dashboards is a fun afternoon for you. You’re able to translate numbers into compelling stories---and tailor your presentation and recommendations to the audience function and level to meet their needs. You are detail-oriented and know how to focus on what really matters. You understand how to integrate data from multiple sources and communicate product level insights. You can align various work streams to ensure the same vision and goal is achieved.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, information systems, analytics/business intelligence, human factors, engineering, mathematics, statistics, other related discipline or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree.
  • Leadership and strategic planning experience.
  • Experience investigating and solving complex technical problems and data discrepancies.
  • Worked with business and customer intelligence systems to provide diagnostic self-serve information to clients and business units.
  • Extensive knowledge of data warehouse, data domains and data.
  • Call Center and Digital experience.
  • Program management experience.
  • Ability to develop solutions that align tactical solutions with strategic goals.
  • Ability to lead and facilitate cross functional teams of managers and directors to gain consensus and execute to deliver results.
  • Ability to define the future state, as well as identifying the steps to get there.
  • Experience in process and requirements documentation.
  • Experience with Verizon proprietary applications.
