What you’ll be doing...

As a member of the GRE (Global Real Estate) National Operations Team, you have the unique opportunity to be part of a strategic service minded team in a fast paced and evolving environment. Responsible for delivering substantial business impacts and managing large scale roll outs. Working in close partnership with internal Real Estate operations and Consumer Retail Marketing operations teams as well as external strategic partners to deliver results. You will have direct oversight for the management, coordination and status of multiple program roll outs. You will be the subject matter expert and point of contact on GRE Infrastructure capital and large expense projects.

This position will require direct oversight of individual and multiple complex program roll outs/projects throughout the geographical area portfolio from a Facilities Operations perspective.

Primary responsibilities are:
Management for both capital and expense Program/Project Roll outs for GRE National Operations and Consumer Retail Infrastructure. To include: managing program roll outs with the Consumer HQ design/Sales Operations/Merchandising teams, Brand Governance team, internal GRE teams and FM Partners.

  • Responsible for maintaining GRE (Global Real Estate) standards and consumer area retail standards as they relate to facilities.
  • Accountable for coordinating the management of complex roll outs/projects directed toward strategic business and organizational objectives spanning multiple organizations and geographic regions.
  • Selecting appropriate roll out methodology, defining in terms of their objectives to provide an environment where roll outs are customer focused and successful.
  • Leading the strategic definition and implementation of multiple related program roll outs/projects in support of Verizon's Global Real Estate standards.
  • Maintaining GRE (Global Real Estate) standards and consumer area retail standards as they relate to Facilities.
  • Strategizing for space utilization, location, cost reduction, increased shareholder value, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction across geographic areas.
  • SPOC cross-functional program/project roll out – Liaison with strategic partners comprised of Strategic Planning, Transactions, Design, Construction and Project and Retail Operations Design, Planning, and Project Operations to resolve issues and deliver long term improvements across the portfolio.
  • Managing cost, schedule and performance of multiple program roll outs/projects while working to ensure the ultimate success and acceptance of the program across the portfolio.
  • Building credibility, establishing rapport and maintaining communication with stakeholders at multiple levels, including those external to the organization.
  • Partnering to manage and track infrastructure funds from/to project identification, funding, execution and closeout.
  • Providing program management status and follow up with teams on milestones for projects.

    What we’re looking for...

    You’ll need to have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
    • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
    • A valid driver's license.
    • Willingness to travel.

    Even better if you have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or a related field.
    • Knowledge of standard building operations and construction elements and processes.
    • Three or more years of experience with Legacy GRE (Global Real Estate) Systems (MAINTENANCE CONNECTION, CRESS, PAMS, BIG).
    • Experience with signage installation in retail settings.
    • Experience managing retail site projects.
    • Experience overseeing 300 or more real estate locations.
    • Experience managing third party vendors specific to real estate support (repairs, renovations, general building management).
    • Five or more years of relevant work experience with GRE Projects, Operations and Budget Management.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead others (formally or informally) toward a common objective.
    • Ability to effectively engage/interact with all levels within and outside the organization.
    • Multilevel project management experience – five or more years managing multiple large scale projects simultaneously.
    • Knowledge of facilities, design, and construction practices to include LEED and Energy Star.
    • Written and verbal communication as well as problem solving, time management and analytical skills in a matrixed environment.
    • Oriented towards customer service, and works well in a team environment.
