What you’ll be doing...

Verizon Connect is the premium provider of Location-Based-Services to enterprises across the globe. VZC’s scalable, Software as a Service (“SaaS”) platform helps enterprises, business owners and fleet managers optimize business operations and manage their global workforce effectively through GPS location technology. Position Summary:
The Strategic Sales Partner will be responsible for developing and closing new sales within the very top of the enterprise sectors for Verizon Connects’ software and services, dealing with the largest and most complex customers. This position will have responsibility to manage the complete sales cycle process including:

  • Prospecting and qualifying opportunities, building a healthy pipeline.
  • Conducting initial sales calls, discovery sessions and evaluations.
  • Building a business case and defining ROI.
  • Responding to RFP’s.
  • Closing and negotiating contracts.
  • Maintaining current opportunity status in CRM with accurate forecasts for sales management.

Sales engineering support is provided with this position as well as product management and product marketing support. Once new logos have been secured, this role will also work closely with these established accounts to bring on new revenue sources through expansion and upsell opportunities. The ideal candidate will reside within a major metropolitan market.

Responsibilities associated with the position include:

  • Driving revenue from new accounts.
  • Leading the entire sales process from organic generation through deal negotiation and closing.
  • Negotiating pricing and contractual agreements.
  • Implementing creative sales strategies, performing extensive customer needs analysis, surveys, proposals, presentation, and product demonstrations.
  • Being held accountable for the sales process including account plans, salesforce discipline, consistent, and professional communication.
  • Working with a team to position and selling complete solutions including professional services, premier support, training, and integration with partner solutions and others as required.
  • Augmenting program management when needed.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Eight or more years of B2B sales experience within the technology industry.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even Better If You Have:

  • An MBA.
  • Field sales experience.
  • Enterprise SaaS experience.
  • Experience selling to Fortune 100 companies.
  • Strong communication, partnership, and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities and sell solutions.
