What you’ll be doing...

  • Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established best practices and business objectives
  • Plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities and projects within an organization
  • Communicate status, risks, and offers mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of all committed projects to cross-functional teams and high-level management
  • Prioritize and allocate projects, products, and resources with the assistance of architects and managers.
  • Develop and implement ChatBots, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities that can predict and optimize key quantities and events
  • Lead and develop internal visible team and Partners team to build generic and replicable portal for customer care agents, Review application framework and designs with Product team, analyze the feasibility and identify potential risks/issues, and guide the team to deliver the solution.
  • Establish world class software teams by hiring and developing top talent.
  • Oversees the development, implementation and execution of multiple projects ensuring scope and schedule are established for projects
  • Establishes the proper resource allocation for the department, including prioritization and staff deployment; acts based on changed priorities.
  • Define and measure Key Performance Indicators (KPI) – drive corrective actions throughout the entire software department based on real data and results.
  • Keep Managers accountable, as well as developing their professional growth.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Six or more years of software leadership experience
  • Experience leading mobile and web teams
  • Agile delivery experience

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.
  • Twelve or more years of software engineering experience
  • Experience on Analytics and Machine Learning technologies.
  • Experience with Dash-boarding tools like Tableau, Big Query, Thoughspot, etc.
  • Knowledge of Verizon Wireless ordering and provisioning systems.
  • Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating.
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
  • Ability to work well with people and be both highly motivated and motivating
  • Proven results oriented person with a delivery focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
